He wanted to submit a financial disclosure form with signing it to certify it was true. He literally does not understand honesty as a desirable thing in a person, or a thing that’s required in many situations. Just unreal.

I don’t see that he’s capable of appreciating an abstraction, or seeing it has value. The universe is divided into good things—things that benefit him—and bad things that don’t. When he pays his lip service to things outside himself, like “our great country, which we love,” or “the great Abraham Lincoln” or the beautiful babies or military folks or whatever it is, it’s so profoundly clumsy, false and manipulative it makes your flesh crawl.
Loving this guy. Can we get him in front of Congress? Or how about replacing Nicole Wallace for an hour long daily show? Seems like he has plenty to say.
You capture the vacuous awkwardness of his speeches - even in his rallies - so well. Best articulation of why it gets so painfully awkward that I have read.
I do hope they checked the text of the signed version against the one he refused to sign–could be interesting.
Think about it this way. If Trump were selling hemorrhoid cream, he would have the same enthusiasm, use the same superlative adjectives, although he would probably hew closer to the facts.
