"Republicans Stand By Trump Even After He Twice Suggests Hillary Clinton’s Assassination

Republicans will stand by Donald Trump even when. Yes, even when period, because there is no low too low for Republican leadership."

Well, she’s a woman and a democrat. That’s a tough pill to swallow for a lifelong republican.

Yup, poor Hillary has that chronic disease, which affects the female half of the population of the world…as pointed out by Colbert.

Yep. Long time GOP men are having a very tough time. Much more so than their wives, daughters, etc.

'“Mrs. Clinton has time before the election to address forthrightly her trustworthiness, to reassure people about her judgment, to demonstrate her willingness to stake out one or more positions on national security at odds with her party’s conventional wisdom”

Oh please. Mrs. Clinton has “trustworthiness” issues but she still has time to remedy them by taking on Republican policies on national security. Right.

Anyone claiming that Republicans have the slightest credibility or "trustworthiness’ on national security is beyond repair.

He sums up the Beltway standard issue view perfectly: "Democrats could be fine if they were just more like Republicans. "

Secretary Gates outlines an interesting choice: “Would you prefer the slightly overcooked châteaubriand or would you rather have the shit sandwich with ground glass?”

I get a chuckle imagining Trump’s vengeful little thumbs clicking furiously on his phone while he curses and mumbles to himself over every perceived slight. One wonders if he develops blisters from working so hard at digital retribution.

Perhaps she could consult one of Drumpf’s doctors — Oz or Bornstein, doesn’t matter — about getting an adadictomy.

His comments on HC are not directed at already decided voters but the ones on the fence. Gates creates room for those Republicans that buy into the same credibility gap BS. Gives them some mental space to allow themselves to inch towards HC, to be “reluctantly convinced”, even if in reality this is just a mind game of changing perception.

It’s interesting how the critique of Hillary seems to lack specifics. I have no problem at all if he criticizes her (or anyone else for that matter), but it would seem mandatory that some clear reason be given. Even the critique of her Libya policy seems to involve generalities – was he upset that the US was involved in Libya at all? That it was involved, but didn’t go in hard enough? That it went in appropriately, but repeated Iraq mistakes after the fight such as wholesale regime removal rather than regime change? I really have no idea, and it kinda’ changes everything.

Its really becoming critical to do a census of the actual deproables who are prompting this zombie as a real candidate for the president of these United States. Time to get in the public option and get health care to everyone folks, its in our national and security interest

“She has much-discussed credibility issues apart from national security, but these also influence foreign perceptions of reliability and trust."

Much discussed by whom? You mean right-wing republicans, of course, and the media fed by them.

I’d bet that foreign perceptions of Hillary are positive, except for Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Israel.

Mental health care, in particular.

They may not yet think so, but they will regret.

Yes, I can see it, too. He probably has to wipe spittle from his mouth because he is seething so much.

Trump:

I never met former Defense Secretary Robert Gates. He knows nothing about me.

Let’s test the truth of the second part of Trump’s claim:

Gates on Trump:

thin-skinned, temperamental, shoot-from-the-hip and lip, uninformed

Verdict:
Gates knows you well, Trump.
