This is irrelevant to the allegations.
I am sure that Trump could easily line-up a dozen women to say the same thing.
They all signed NDAs.
Iām on the fence about statements like these. Does it really matter that he didnāt behave inappropriately to you? He did it to someone else. On the other hand, I understand wanting to stand behind someone who you feel is being falsely accused.
You donāt actually know he did it to someone else. A woman said he did and she got a settlement that was significantly less than the nuisance value of the case. Thatās all we know. So yeah, in that context, statements like this are at least somewhat probative.
When there are a lot of woman saying the same thing happened to them, statements like this are inconsequential. When thereās just the one, they are at least marginally probative.
And, of course, when youāre like Roger Ailes and the number who say you didnāt harass them are massively outnumbered by the ones who say you did, it tends to prove the opposite of their assertion.
Itās quite possibly that the bottomfeeders have decided to āuseā the Me, Too movement to bring down prominent Dems to shove their sht through the legislatures. Sad really what freakinā scumsuckers they are pretending to be āpatriotsā. Iām looking at you Cotton and every single one of you (Flynn) that trade on your military service to FK the country.
I really was going to try and stay out of the fray after Tāgiving, but hereās a thought. I know it doesnāt prove anything one way or the other, but just an observation, as a man, about how some men operate. We know that Clinton ran around even though he did and does a lot of good things politically. Couldnāt there be some other guys, like maybe Conyers and Franken, that also did some dumb shit? No not like Moore or Trump, but just pushing the boundaries a bit because they were horny, were just testing the water, and thought they would get away with it if they didnāt go ātoo far.ā
Considering this report got leaked by the pizza gate people⦠yeah its highly likely that this is the case.
At the moment much of it is he said/she said. Statements like this go to establishing (or disproving) a pattern. If other women come out with similar and plausible accusations, if there is a corroborating evidence for one such accusation ā then such statements do not matter. But for now they go to an existence or non-existence of the pattern.
On a side note: I find similar statements on behalf of Frankenās staffers somewhat more believable at the moment precisely because there is less corroborating evidence of accusations: there was neither lawsuit nor settlement in Frankenās case.
George, read the actual statement and tell me if you really think that.
I was only speaking about the āa gentleman and never behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner in our presence,ā sentence.
