Trump LIVES to have guys like Hayden come out and blast him. It’s oxygen for his fire. A notch on his bedpost.

General Hayden nails it - and nails Trump’s sole intent.

Just what I want to hear…the opinion of the person who could have prevented 9/11, but didn’t.

I believe the writer meant to say: " Trump EXACERBATED the rise in protests…" – NOT “exasperated”.

Many of us find Trump exasperating, but still…

Trump: He must have black blood. He doesnt count. Besides he is from the worst administration in US history.

Ask Mitch and the rest of the remaining indoor Republicans, everything Trump touches turns to shit…to their growing regret and America’s detriment.

…at least it’s spelled correctly.

Too authoritarian for Michael Hayden. That’s like being too religious for the pope.

No, it was Trump ‘masturbated’ the rise…

Put me down with Colin Kaepernick as well - another white male that says it is time to stop the racism in our police forces and law enforcement and judicial system.

Trump, Pence and AG Sessions are racists - total white nationalists and they should be removed from office.ys.

Professional sports leagues in other nations like the BPL soccer league in the UK has made ending racism part of the league culture. The players even wear END RACISM badges on their jerseys.

The NBA, the NHL, the NFL, MLS soccer, MLB - they should also make ending racism a top priority and each player should have a END RACISM badge proudly displayed on their right shoulder!

If we want all Americans to respect and salute the flag - that is not done by orders from a dictator. That is accomplished when we as a nation become a nation of EQUALS.

Racism divides us…equality unites us. Trump, Pence, Sessions, and the Republicans are dividers!

From Mirriam-Webster online:

exacerbate vs. exasperate

Exacerbate is frequently confused with exasperate, and with good reason. Not only do these words resemble one another in spelling and pronunciation, they also at one time held exceedingly similar meanings. Exasperate is today most commonly used as a synonym of annoy, but for several hundred years it also had the meanings “to make more grievous” and “to make harsh or harsher.” Exacerbate is now the more common choice of these two words when one seeks to indicate that something is becoming increasingly bitter, violent, or unpleasant. It comes in part from the Latin word acer, meaning “sharp,” whereas exasperate is from asper, the Latin word for “rough.”

If I could master the proper usage of “who” and “whom” I’d die a happy man. Either that or gift me a Maserati, that might do it too.

Maseratis do 185. You’d lose your license and not be able to drive.

Even the Romans had trouble telling acer and asper apart.

Trump’s description of kneeling/genuflecting as disrespectful should outrage his religious followers.

I have heard–but I have not checked–that Kaepernick got down on one knee (after having sat for the anthem in his team’s first game) after one of his 49er teammates, a veteran, suggested it and pointed out that taking a knee is how soldiers pay tribute to fallen comrades.
