Discussion: Former Christie Aide Resentenced To 13 Months In Prison For Role In Bridgegate

First, if you were worried about the impact of your actions on your children, you wouldn’t be going to prison at all. Second, how does it feel to know that you have to be away from your family for over a year, while the man who ordered you to do what you did gets off without even a slap on the wrist? Hope your kids understand that mommy felt her loyalty to the governor was more important than her loyalty to them.

Oh, and fuck you. You’re lucky to get 13 months you pos.

Oh hell, look whose bawling her eyes out. Hey, I remember a friend of mine who worked for a newspaper and had to deal with this woman. She was unbelievably hostile to even the IDEA of a free press.

The only real tragedy here is that Chris Christie isn’t going with her.

True. Her major crime was following his orders. That beeping noise you heard when she was indicted? Christie backing over her.

She should be shedding tears for the woman who died in the ambulance stuck on the bridge. Florence Genova. Cry for Florence, Bridget. Cry for her.

And still Stepian got nothing but a job on the Trump campaign and a current position in the WH as political director, which means what in the age of Trump?

You’d think people serving Trump currently could learn a lesson from this, but I won’t hold my breath.

I hope all the White House staff are watching this. It might make a couple of them inclined to not trust that “the boss” is going to do you any favors when you are the one failing to answer a subpoena. And, BTW, she so deserves jail time and tough shit that her kids will now be experiencing hardship because Mommy is a criminal.

I miss these kinds of scandals. It was a simpler time when political vindictiveness by that other fat fuck was so much easier to blow off because it was limited to fucking New Jersey. Now, that same vindictiveness and its evil cousin, corruption, is fucking everywhere on a scale I can’t even…

Chris Christie? Didn’t he used to be somebody?

Let me rephrase that: didn’t he used to be 12 somebodies?

“Kelly cried as she asked the judge to consider the impact of imprisonment on her children.”

I guess she really was thinking hard about all the other people’s kids and other dear, precious, innocent children who may have been stuck on that bridge. Or she might just be using them as part of her political props dress-up chest. Like Kellyanne trots out that she’s a mother once a month on air somewhere to justify and normalize her actions.

If I was Tammy Faye Bakker, I would have rivers of black mascara running down my cheeks.

But I am not Tammy Faye Bakker, so fuck Bridget Kelly.

Yeah, it’s really easy to use your children as pawns when you make enough money to hire a nanny so you don’t even have to see them while you are out defending some lying fat ass motherfucker who wants to destroy the lives of everybody else’s children.

Hey, I can dream, can’t I?!

There isn’t a jail cell that could hold Chris Christie.
Actually, even Biltmore couldn’t hold Chris Christie.
