Here’s the new headline for FOX for at least the next 48 hours.
Noteworthy primarily because it’s so completely at odds with the record of the Obama administration, one of the most scandal-free in history.
The details are odd (from CNN). Not the typical narrative, to be sure.
The NYPD says the alleged incident happened in Brooklyn in October 2017 where officials say he grabbed the buttocks of a 55-year-old woman.
…
A law enforcement official said that the alleged victim and Frieden had known each other for several years.
And this is what now passes for “normal” in the GOP…
Cue up the “I’m not an alien” campaign commercials.
Yeah, we already have one alien overlord. That’s more than enough.
Sad to hear. Date gone wrong? He was the health commissioner under Bloomberg. From what I have seen a consummate professional. His initiatives have led to better health outcomes and longer lifespans for most New Yorkers.
She’s quoted in the article as having said, “I stick to my guns when I believe in something.”
I wonder if those guns look like this:
“I was CONDUCTING RESEARCH!”
Zap…

Yea, my thoughts as well. Probably found another (and smaller butt) to squeeze.
Sounds like he will get his day in court. He will have a presumption of innocence and if all this is is a he said, she said type thing then I cannot see how there can be much of a case or why charges would have even been brought. Surely the grabbed buttocks is highly inappropriate but its not exactly the most aggressive case of sexual assault. It is certainly worthy of a good backhand, some public shaming, maybe a lost job and a stiff fine, but even on a conviction is anyone really expecting more than that? This seems like a pretty minor newsflash that people are human everywhere.
Why did this pop into my head?
“So extraordinarily damning of the lawless Obama Administration,” Speaker Paul Ryan’s office immediately said in a statement. “It only demonstrates they should be called the #MeFirst administration.”
Did I miss anything, or does that pretty much cover it?
Especially given what she was wearing, right? Right? Amirite?
I’m really interested in this story. I have no immediate connection to Frieden, but an in-law worked under him in NYC and had nothing but glowing things to say about him.
Slow news days come earlier than they used to.
Ummm. No. You are not right. When an otherwise good person displays a terrible flaw we remind ourselves that we are all human and have terrible flaws that we struggle with. This does not excuse the behavior or dismiss the consequences but it does afford us empathy and give us hope for reform in others as we have hope for reform in ourselves. When someone makes a comment like yours we generally just conclude they are a jackass which is technically “sub-human” and we hope that evolution may eventually pull future generations up to a level we don’t mind sharing the planet with and that current generations will find a shiny object to distract them come voting day.
(If your comment was meant in jest, then consider mine in the same vein.)
He should have grabbed her “kitty kat” as our president proved that is not a crime.
If the woman is a Trump supporter, than he might be in the process of being “Frankened”.
