Somebody was hiding in a hotel room. What does the cameraman say?
That is what I keep wondering. Where is this cameraman who supposedly had his life saved by Bill O?
Well, DUUUUUUUUH !!
Frankly, O’Reilly had a complete psychotic break with objective reality a long, long, long time ago. But my money’s on Roger Ailes keeping him around, no suspension and no punishment. Unlike the standards real journalists are held to, FOX personnel are required to lie. The ability to lie frequently with a straight face and outrage at being caught are resume requirements.
You would think this guy, whose life BillO saved, would speak up. But maaaaaaybe Bill is the only one who can see and hear him?!
O’Reilly and the cameraman were enjoying a nice felafel (loofah, whatever) in the hotel room when the cameraman slipped getting out of the tub. O’Reilly saved his life by grabbing his head before it hit the floor.
But he makes Ailes money so he isn’t going to suffer any for this.
Bill O’Reilly’s Toast on a Stick
After that lurid falafel episode failed to damage his career, I can’t imagine anything that he could do that would cause Fox to make him suffer. Except, just possibly, if he were suddenly to become truthful and rational; I’m sure that wouldn’t fly with Ailes.
54 journalists KIA in WW2:
popcorn, must have popcorn…
send out message, “bring popcorn”
another one of those classic O’Reilly responses to any kind of criticism
Like any cornered kitty, O’Lielly hisses and scratches as a prelude to hissing and scratching…
This is only going to get better and better. It could conceivably bring this greased weasel down.
Not as long as he keeps bending over rogers desk every morning and getting his boss a raise.
Bill O won’t suffer any repercussions. His fans, like Fox News viewers in general, value entertainment and sensationalism more than truth. They will take Bill O’s word over that of a “liberal MSM” outlet like CBS. As long as he keeps making money for Roger Ailes, he’ll have his prime time perch for as long as he desires.
Ohhh the memories we shall have!- the national punting title, the Peabody Award, and our man in the bloody street in Buenos Aires!
Incidents like these are exactly why Fox News is part of the Entertainment Division instead of the News Division. Less stringent responsibility to journalism.
Quite frankly, there is now an investigative news story here to locate all American news media men/women who were in Buenos Aires at the time. There should be more than enough news footage and various reports on record that would sort most of this out with one solid weekend’s worth of digging & reading.
I am curious as to why this hasn’t happened yet. More than enough time has passed, and the past week has been something of a slow news week.
But, that damned lie’brul media machine is just covering up all those pesky facts, as always.
Engberg actually could make and probably win a defamation case against the Billdo at this point. Lies about someone else’s behavior and cowardice are extremely damaging to the reputation and career of reporters sent into conflict zones, especially when published in a highly public format. Fox News and Ailes are entirely complicit in the publication of such slander and libel … so there are very deep pockets to go after here. I know for a fact that if I had been a reporter on the ground and I was not cowering in a hotel room, if I was actually out in the “riots” and reporting, and these things were being said about me I would be lawyering up for an 8- or 9-digit defamation suit.
Well, footage is beginning to come out (eg, http://www.mediaite.com/tv/ex-nbc-bureau-chief-backs-up-oreillys-account-of-falklands-war-riot/ ). I suspect this will either keep rolling or die out quickly; no in between.
