Discussion: For Second Day, White House Won't Say Sessions Has Trump's Confidence

Sessions must be quite relieved, honestly—the last thing he needs now is an expression of confidence from Trump.

The problem might be that Sessions keeps a picture of John Mitchell behind bars on his desk.

Personal loyalty to Trump = candidate for Under The Bus Express

What difference would it make if the WH did say that? They lie, Trump undercuts them, they lurch to Trump’s new position, and Trump changes his mind again.

Although it’s an interesting exercise to try to get them to commit to whether Sessions has Trump’s confidence, it is important to remember that there is not a single spokesperson for the POTUS who has any integrity or credibility whatsoever, Not a shred.

Only Trump could make Jeff Sessions (sort of) sympathetic. He HAD to recuse. The guy followed the rules of his job and Trump wants to fire him for it.

Citing multiple unnamed sources, ABC News reported Tuesday night that the tension between Trump and Sessions had gotten so bad that Sessions at one point had offered to resign.

Trump rejected his offer, citing the unbreakable bond of their shared hatred toward “Coloreds and Muslims”.

Passive aggressive spat between two people you hate. You not only hope they can’t resolve it, you hope a meteor crashes into their dining room at supper time.

So, if Comey found out he was fired because the news was on a screen behind him while he was giving a presentation, how will Sessions find out?

Flynn: That might actually be a good thing for Sessions.

Given that Comey hasn’t yet spoken much about Sessions, Trump may use Sessions to take the fall for his attempts at OOJ. Comey told Sessions not to leave him alone w/Trump after the Feb 14 meeting. Yet there may have been as many as 6 additional convos between Trump and Comey following that meeting. Trump could say that “I didn’t know what I was doing was improper or inappropriate, and my AG didn’t tell me anything, so he should go.” That kind of argument fits well with Trump’s lack of personal responsibility.

If I were Sessions, I’d be hiring a lawyer, talking to Mueller with a sworn statement, and preparing a resignation letter.

When Trump tweets about Sessions having lied under oath.

I’ve said it elsewhere, but this no answer answer seem like total proof of, don’t want to incriminate myself, guilt to me.

It is 50/50 that Agent Orange is going to tweet Session’s firing while on the pot tonight at about 3:40 AM.

Trump simply cannot fathom the idea that he is not king; ultimate ruler of all the U.S. peasants who should glorify him. He truly doesn’t get the whole “nation of laws” concept, nor does he think he should be constrained in any way with regard to his whims and dictates. He figured he would bring his business style into the White House. For now, I’m getting by knowing that he’s eating his guts out with rage over his lack of unquestioned absolute power. I’m not religious, but if there is a god, may it see to it that Drumpf is impeached, convicted and forced to take the long, disgraced swim to China (or Russia).

Trump is only nominally a real businessman. He is really a sole proprietor. A corporate CEO has to deal with directors and shareholders. He has to make decisions that keep his stock price high. If he fails he can find himself voted out on his ass. A sole proprietor like Trump doesn’t have to worry about accountability. Sole proprietors are still common (but far less common than in the old days) in the real estate development business. They aren’t that common anyplace else. Most modern businessmen have as hard a time relating to them as we do.

Sumbitch has recently been saying “my government.” Must think he’s Queen. No, asshole, it’s your Administration, not your government.
