There is a clause in every plea deal, read to the defendant by the judge, which must be acknowledged, “I am pleading guilty because I am guilty.”
If a defendant thinks they haven’t committed a crime, that is the time to speak up.

The same folks whining about how the confession of Flynn was obtained snivel, puke, whine and gnash their teeth about judges throwing out cases when police beat a confession out of a crook saying what matters is guilt or innocence not technicalities.

Does this mean that if they had used water boarding on Flynn to get him to spill the beans on little lying Donnie Trump that such a confession by Flynn would be tainted as coerced evidence? And therefore the crimes by Flynn were merely innocent mistakes…even after he was warned to not go to Moscow and the Trump team was fully warned by the FBI that Russia was hacking the US election and out to destroy our Democracy.
Republicans are such snow flakes. They love water boarding to obtain intelligence information from others…but FBI personal interviews and gum shoe investigating is ‘coercion’.

Trump rues the thought anyone controls his actions. When the idea of pardons is floated there’s the inevitable response in the media that certainly his advisers are counseling him doing so would be a big mistake. Trump knows by not issuing pardons the perception is he’s doing what others are telling him to do, not what he wants to do. And that galls him to no end. Absolutely enrages him. People must see him as someone that does as he damn well pleases, beholden to no one, heeding his own counsel above all others.
So, let the idea of pardons be publicly, prominently floated. Eventually Trump will surrender to his own worst impulses and issue them. To his detriment.

My recollection is that Flynn’s lawyer said, early in the game, that Flynn “had an important story to tell”, but wanted a deal to tell it. I suspect that Flynn’s story is not about Hillary’s emails, but about the criminal acts undertaken to steal those emails by the Trump campaign, in a criminal conspiracy with Putin’s nominees and Asange. And that his singing about those acts got him a plea deal— but his continued operatic performance will be necessary if Mueller isn’t to file additional charges.
