Plea time. Nothing like a little bench harrangue to refresh the memory.

Next time, get lawyers who aren’t wearing tinfoil hats, Gen. Flynn.

Trapped by his own entrapment.

I’m guessing he’d like to cooperate some more.

Were Flynn’s lawyers mentored by Giuliani?

Hats off to Judge Sullivan – including his supposed “apology” for bringing up treason. That was no apology, it was a brilliant finesse. He got treason in the record.

I’m betting Flynn feels like telling all those folk who the past couple of days have been saying he was set up to shut their mouths.

WH spox in 3 … 2 … 1: Judge Sullivan can’t judge us! Open your eyes, he must recuse, disqualified by brown skin.

Hat tip to Robert Mueller! More damaging info on Donnie is waiting in the wings.

From the Washington Post: “U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan told Flynn at his sentencing hearing that Flynn was essentially “an unregistered agent of a foreign country, while serving as the national security adviser to the president of the United States,” and asked a prosecutor with the special counsel’s office whether Flynn could be charged with “treason.””

In any normal administration this scandal would have been front-page news until Flynn went to prison. It’s a sad statement that in the multitude of scandals it disappeared for most of two years.

Maybe all of this will give the WH and the rest of Flynn supporters a 5 minute pause before they start flapping their jaws again.

Quite some contrast, tRump wishes his former National Security Advisor “good luck” - as he goes in to court. Judge says: you sold your country out. The judge didn’t need to say that Flynn wasn’t on his own in doing that.

O womp womp!

Yeah his lawyers should have told him but it’s hardly unacceptable for Flynn and his lawyers to be “blindsided” by the truth for the love of god.

You only get blindsided by the truth when you have lied repeatedly.

Did Mueller inform the court there was more juice to be squeezed from the lemon? If not, and Flynn is tapped out as to the help he can offer Mueller, I fail to see what a sentencing delay based on additional cooperation achieves. I have to think the judge knows something about what an offer of allowing Flynn time to volunteer additional cooperation will accomplish. Can’t be nothing, right?

Right.

The judge did imply that Flynn had more he could give.

And even if he doesn’t, this puts the squeeze on a bunch of people nicknamed “Individual-1” through some fairly large number who thought, up until about an hour ago, that at least this one particular geyser had run its course. Now, they get to keep worrying for a while longer, while watching the basement continue to fill up with water…
