Discussion for article #246452

I wonder how many other traitors we’re still honoring in our nation’s capitol? You know, the ones from the Civil War.

I guess that’s that.

O they’re around alright. But honestly I’m surprised that we’re finally getting real about it. I never really expected this to catch on like this and I’m delighted the flag and statues are being removed after all these damn years.

does this mean the new statue will be of Jimmy Buffet holding a cheeseburger and margarita?

Even with a veto-proof majority, I’ll bet $100 in rebel money that Scott will veto it.

“Great Floridians Committee to suggest three possible Floridians for a statue to replace Smith’s”.

Odds-on favorites include George Zimmerman, Katherine Harris, and Rush Limbaugh.

Now, how about re-naming all those Federal military bases currently honoring secessionists?

Note the date of the donation. I’m only surprised it wasn’t the 40s or 50s.

Now it should go where it belongs, in a museum or under a bridge.

Well, the choice is:

  1. George Zimmerman, the statue must depict him curled on his back, holding a gun.
  2. Katherine Harris, the statue must depict her with chad-hanging ballots in one hand and an orange in the other.
  3. Rush Limbaugh, he statue must depict him with a dazed, but happy, look and a bottle OxyContin in hand.

Whichever.

I suggest Jeb Bush…as he is already in statue form.
