Discussion: Florida Men: Can Jeb Get His Mojo Back With Rubio Gaining Steam?

Discussion for article #237520

Can I be the guns on Little Round Top?

Hasn’t someone gone negative on Rubio already?

I have to admit that I don’t know very much about how newspapers work, so I could be wrong. But when I see a story like the following, I tend to think that someone called up a reporter and pitched it.

Am I wrong about that? Or is it more likely that the NYT did the reporting and decided to run the story on their own?

One of them can’t remember his own past, the other is running on his name.
Please, oh Please, let one of these two be their candidate for President. If Bernie can keep a straight face during the debates, he’ll be elected for sure.

That is a pretty damning piece on Rubio. Makes me confident that this is a “more there” situation.

Florida Men: Can Jeb Get His Mojo Back With Rubio Gaining Steam?

For me, asking a question like this is like asking me which of two burglars, burglar “A” or burglar “B”, do I think has more incentive to get to my house first in order to steal the silver. All things considered, I’m hoping for reciprocal liquidation here.

By the way, does “steam” trump “mojo”, and if so, how does that work?

I have to quibble with the headline. Did Jeb! Bush! ever have any Mojo to begin with?

If so, I never saw any evidence of it. What he had, was a bunch of pontificators and media shills from the very beginning trying desperately to carry his water and peddle him to the public. That’s about it.

Don’t help this twin to the world wrecking brother dodge his name by just calling him Jeb. JebBush is brother to George Bush and if you watch him for five minutes, all of the goofy mannerisms of George the Dumber pop right out. The head bobbing, that stupid, he-he-he, Beevis and Butthead styled laugh and the getting lost in mid sentence tendency.

Yes, he’s unimpressive and yes he’s stumbling hard before the race even gets going but the big disqualifier for JebBush is his name and family members. He is trying to avoid it but with every head bob, it may as well be painted on his forehead.

It’s a redux of the George W. Bush’s ever-present just-around-the-corner comeback in the polls. He was always always always just a sliver away from rebounding and nobody was afraid to write about it. So too, is Jeb E. Bush’s mojo: a media figment by those more than willing to anoint him our rightful king.

Jeb is going to bring 4%/y growth …and ponies for all!

Jeb had mojo? Who knew? After his performances over the past few weeks, I’d say he had a definite case of unmojo.

I still believe that Marco Rubio’s support is almost completely illusory. Nobody knows this Senator on a national level, and everyone is still only understanding him from press releases and packaging. In reality he is unimpressive, a lackluster public speaker with lousy retread ideas, a shady personal financial background, no experience on a national level , and a rather empty record as a Senator. Where’s the part America is supposed to swoon over, I don’t get it?

Supposedly a good VP pick because of imagined Latino origin. He’s Cuban and in denial and he bailed on his own immigration plan but no matter to the braindead Republican voters. They vote on image and simplistic rhetoric designed to make them vote on it. What saps.
JebBush is teasing the Latino community by speaking Spanish while basically denying them rights and citizenship and this is supposed to be a winning tactic.

What it is, is an insult to the Latino and especially Mexican community. Hoping that they are too dumb to notice or know better is a direct slap in the face. Republicans would do better to just shut their pieholes and do nothing than to create these facades that make them out as disingenuous phonies.
