This actually makes a ton of sense. As every gun fetishist will tell you, pools can be more deadly than guns. What this brave, good guy with a gun was doing was protecting the children. He was willing to stand up to a bad pool and shoot it to death if need be. And due to his bravery no children were harmed by the pool. He’s a true hero!
