Discussion: Florida GOP's Obamacare Alternative Has Signed Up 30 People

Discussion for article #227033

30 compared to nearly a 1,000,000 for the ACA?

And where’d they find 30 people who were that fucking dumb?

Like most Republican office holders, Marco Rubio has absolutely no business sense and wouldn’t be able to hold down a job for more than a couple of weeks if it weren’t for the public sector.
And so far he’s proven to be pretty inept at his current day job too.

GOP staffers. Probably paid in cash under the table to sign up.

There are NO comprehensive polices there either. Just prescription supplemental type shit. “t Health Choices doesn’t sell comprehensive health insurance to protect consumers from big-ticket costs such as hospitalization. Instead, it has limited benefit options and discount plans for items like dental visits, prescription drugs and eyeglasses.”

So you are selling bullshit and are surprised no one wants that crap?

That’s all??? Isn’t Florida suppose to be a swindler’s paradise.

Great test of how the GOP Health care plan compares to the Affordable Care Act.

Wait a minute … they spent 2.7 million dollars to get 30 people signed up? $90,000 per person for prescription drugs and eye exams?!?! Yeah, that’s a much better spend than Obamacare!

Child of Marco Rubio I can believe. Brainchild? Not so much.

So let’s see $900,000 to get 30 people insurance that they have to pay for. Seems to come out to $30,000 per person for??? Brilliant!

Wingnut welfare.

Don’t forget that during the first year, the federal government will subsidize the cost for every dollar of Florida Health Choice with zero dollars in matching funds.

No, don’t forget to include the original $1.8 million in start-up funding. The additional $900,000 was just for the website. Altogether they spent $90,000 per person.

So Rubio’s ‘GOP-care’ alternative cost $2.7 million for 30 people, of $90,000 per person for limited benefits plans, and the GOP love it.

… Obamacare covers people with an average subsidy of ~$3,000, and they foam at the mouth.

Sounds about right for Republican math.

Is this where we say, “Heckofajob!”

It seems to me for $3 million they could have just insured 10,000 people and not bothered with a website right?
