Discussion: Florida Dem Lawmakers Denied Entry To Facility Housing 1,000 Migrant Children

Sadly, with something that is important, these two Democrat hacks want to use the situation to help in their upcoming elections. They have no more right in those facilities than I do. Typical liberal bullshit. Sad.

Every democratic lawmaker, every state, every ‘shelter’. Bang on the doors until they open them!

I understand that the opioid crises is important, but come on Azar you’ve Scott Lloyd overseeing these kids and you’re a few miles from the site let the Senator and Congresswoman in.
And yes what are they hiding? These are duly elected officials and are charged with overseeing public funding.

Congressman, it’s good to see you here on TPM…wait, you’re not a duly elected US official? Then YOU don’t have any authority, THEY do.

Now pipe down, the adults are talking about facts and things you are frightened by…

Oh are you a publicly elected official?

Florida’s other senator, Republican Marco Rubio, said in a tweet Tuesday, “Let’s change the law so we can hold families together while awaiting expedited hearings.”

oh, and fuck you too, Marco Rubio. There is no freaking law.

“This is not a Democrat or Republican issue, because all of the former first ladies have found this policy despicable”

This sounds like bizarre political score-keeping. Any number of first ladies’ feelings about an issue does not make it moral or amoral.

Don’t forget it’s only Tuesday, save some fucks for the rest of the week.

Rubio, self-regarded “ smartest person in the room,” pretends again not to know that the situation doesn’t require a new law. “Look at me,” he says as he promotes his new, unneeded law.

It’s not about whether first ladies have any special moral judgement, but rather a recognition that leading figures in both parties have called for this barbaric behavior to stop.

Hitler also needed a couple of weeks to get Terezin ready for the Red Cross in 1944.

There is absolutely nothing the matter when elected officials are denied access to a privately run publicly funded institution.

If you live in Germany 1940.

I don’t personally count our crop of current former first ladies as “leading figures in both parties”. Apologies to Michelle Obama as she is actually a leading political figure.

Putting that aside for now, I’m not hearing too much from actual Republican congress people. So I think the comment is bolstering a notion that isn’t true. It’s misleading.

Have any republicans tried to gain entry to see how the children are being treated?
Telling absence, is it not?

Kick the doors in. Have they never heard of the storming of the Bastille? FL is a Stand Your Ground state. Use that law the way it was intended. Zimmerman certainly had no problem using that defense.

They don’t do reality well?
