Well, when a state agency fails to enforce the Clean Water Act, there is a private right of action available to any citizen, or public-interest group in the state. It includes attorney fees. Step up, Florida environmentalists!

Meanwhile, the gutters around every traffic light, and a 10 foot radius around the entrance to every public building, are so littered with butts that someone has to be paid to clean them up. Even if the building has an ashtray by the door.

Got that right, I ran a small business in Seattle. I was the only one who would clean the ashcan just to the right of the door. Heaven help asking any of the smoking employees to do so. You would think I was asking them to purchase a lemonade rather than a beer. Eventually it came down to no smoking on the property, this meant the smokers needed to talk down 100 ft of driveway to the street/sidewalk. That brought on another set of unfair employer comments.
Based on the article, the gun place primarily poisoned the ground water, the tax payers paid for it, and in exchange the gun shop would take some measures to avoid future poisoning. They donāt build the wall, and the agency sues to make them. Now the agency is forced to drop the suit under outside lobbying pressure or possibly even the threat of outside pressure! (In the words of Donald Trump: Bad!)
So the taxpayers bail out the gun place and get fuck all?
Iām a motorcyclist and Iāve had 2 butts bounce off my helmet over the years. Flicked out the car window by drivers who canāt stand the stink of their own filthy habit. Yeah, itās personal.
