But Anderson’s attempt to channel Jake Tapper (whose persistent grilling of Trump over his racist remarks was a recent high-water mark for CNN) came off to me as a strained bit of badgering. He managed to make it look like he was treating her unfairly and that he was politicizing the tragedy, which is a pity because she’s a truly despicable and corrupt LGBT hater.
Still, it’s somewhat comforting to see some life in a CNN that — wonder of wonders — actually is taking on Drumpfmagogue … occasionally.
