Our Republican overlords are overbearing twits who need to be hit up the side of the head with a 2x6 to get their attention.
Just waiting for him to say not only are we post-racial, but weâre also post-sexism/misogyny when Hillary gets elected.
Unfortunately the mistake lives on at the top of this page, and in the URL. (Get it right the first time, TPM!)
Texas always Texas. Except for Austin, the worst place in the country.

WTF? Why are parts of this article caged in language that hedges and makes it sound like some of this shit is accidental or involuntary?
âconfusionâ?
âissues officials have hadâ?
This is all deliberate, planned, orchestrated, etc., and it should be talked about as such. Every white nationalist county clerk douchebag in TX fancies himself/herself the Kim Davis of anti-voter-fraud righteousness and Abbot and his AG and SoS are all encouraging it. The only âissuesâ these officials have had is a racist, undereducated upbringing. They now believe that if they can just slide one by and get who they want in the WH, then these things wonât be wrong anymore, but rather baked right into the system as they âshouldâ be. Fuck 'em all to death.
Off topic, but hey, doesnât Abbot have the Trump-lips thing going here?
âThe problems ⌠is definitely going to bleed into the narrative ⌠" Iâm not particularly bothered by the mixed metaphor of âbleeding problemsâ, but I hate subject/verb disagreement.
âTheir continues to be evidence that suggests âŚ" As a musician, I have, on occasion, made use of a âcontinuoâ, and may have been said to have have owned it. I have never owned a âcontinuesâ.
How much trust should we have in the political reporting of those who lack basic language skills?
The tests and devices that can legally block ballot access have only been in development since my 2013 decision and are now in beta testing. We will not allow them to go nation wide until they have been perfected.
This is weird because the state is running PSAs all the time that tell Texans they can vote either with a driverâs license or another form of ID but the spots are very clear that people should be able to vote with alternate IDs.
Hmmm
So someone IS trying to ârigâ the vote. It just isnât Donald thinks it isâŚ
The Rs can not win fairly. They have never known or subscribed to the concept of a âlevel playing fieldâ.
Georgetown âŚnow thatâs some mighty fine edjumakatin Iâm tellin ya
poll workers in Texas who have been caught spreading inaccurate information about the stateâs voter ID law
well, bless their (lying, thieving, pea-pickinâ) little heartsâŚ
Where there are conflicts between a PSA and an election official who intends to misinform, particularly at a polling location, the election official probably comes out on top most of the time.
I agree with that. It just strikes me that I canât figure out what they think is going on when the left hand is doing something the right hand is working to keep from happening.
But yes, poll workers run those precincts and what they say goes while youâre there. Itâs just such a weird situation.
So, to correct a spelling from a cell-phone comment autocorrected INCORRECTLY, you break character? Pretty weakâŚ1one1one1111one))!!!
Nothing. âI will give you my voter ID law that perpetuates white entitlement when you pry it from my cold dead hands.â
Why would a cell phone autocorrect from a real word, ritz, to a not real word, rits?
Ghost, if you can figure out autocorrect, then you can tell the rest of us how the hell it works because I think itâs psychotic personally.
âElsewhere, poll workers have told voters waiting in line that they need to pull out their photo IDs to vote, making no mention of the alternative for non-ID holders.â
If this is all it takes to not be in compliance⌠then the place I voted was definitely not in compliance. We were all asked for photo ID to vote and had no alternatives given. Iâd assumed weâd have to ask if we needed that but do they have to tell the alternatives even if you donât ask?
