Discussion: Flashback: Romney Pressures Trump To Release Taxes Just Like Harry Reid Did

Thanks for the link - it is somewhat consoling to read this as I think Cruz would be the most dangerous of the Republicans.

BabaWawa has had so many lifts that, when she crosses her legs, her mouth pops open. This photo proves it.

Says the guy who never released his amended tax returns which proved he was hiding money in off-shore banks until those same banks reported to IRS. Kind of sleazy.

With her entrails in canopic jars, Bawa’s realized a new freedom…

He likes his buildings to be like his wives: Tall and Tacky

…made him look like a fool, is now playing tough guy…
…he was so awkward and goofy that we all should have known he could not win!

These are not the ā€œso sad, very sad, sad, sad.ā€ – variety of TrumpTweets.
I’d say Mittens has gotten under his skin.

Mitt’s job in this instance is all RNC/Establishment-(R) type work.
They’re now running out anybody-- to say anything possible-- and see if it can have an effect.
And this seemingly pissed off Trump.

He had a $77,000 deduction in 2010 for Rafalca, Ann Romney’s Olympic-quality dressage horse. As an indirect expense, he could only write off against any money the horsie made. But apparently Rafalca is a taker rather than a giver and has yet to turn a profit.

I am going to provide this side-ways link to the Best. (Trump). Post. Ever. on TPM as a reply to the first comment post of many topics.

The linked list of Trump Bankruptcies below doesn’t include the Trump University mentioned by AntiSachetDeThe here.

ALL TPMers should bookmark it for use in the General Election (Getting Out the Info).
Thanks, in abundance, @hplantagenet:

The claims were debunked when Romney released his tax returns.

That is simply not accurate. Romney released part of one year, not even the years in question.

Why is TPM repeating bullshit?

Thank you. You beat me to it. I usually expect more from TPM.

Why has it been such a disappointment of late?

I always forget how tasteless Trump is. Then I see once again a photo from inside his domicile. It’s like some weird 1970s vintage Caesars Palace interior decorator threw up in there.

The man truly has no taste what-so-ever.

Mitt, as we knew all along, is gaffe prone. It continues.

Limbaugh’s former Manhattan digs followed a similar false perspective, Thomas Kinkade-ish, Condo of the Gods theme…I can just see a bare-footed Trump waddling, half-asleep across the darkened room in his boxers late night to grab a snack…

TPM:

ā€œFrankly, I think we have good reason to believe that there’s a bombshell in Donald Trump’s taxes,ā€ Romney said on Fox News. ā€œEither he’s not as anywhere near as wealthy as he says he is ā€¦ā€

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a different NY Real Estate developer, circa the early aughts.

The conversation had turned to the subject of Donald Trump, who was on another of his braggart jags at the time. The developer mentioned above replied, ā€œI don’t know who he thinks he’s fooling with these billionaire claims. Trump isn’t worth anymore than me, and I’m only worth about 50-60 million.ā€

This was 12-15 years ago, and the quoted developer’s net worth is now somewhere in the 400-500 million range (I think), so Trump is also probably worth a lot more than he was then - but I doubt it’s as much as the 4.5 billion he likes to claim.

Anyway, the only reason I mention this, is to point out that there’s apparently a long-standing conviction among the top .01% that Trump isn’t really worth anywhere near what he says.

And it looks like Romney is trying to call out Trump on that score.

Donald Trump:

When Mitt Romney asked me for my endorsement last time around, he was so awkward and goofy that we all should have known he could not win!

There’s something kind of charmingly oblivious in Donald Trump calling anyone else awkward and goofy.

I guess you have much more faith (probably right) in US electorate; I don’t. I don’t expect them to be rational. My reason for pessimism is how quickly the electorate re-elected the Bush administration failed architects back to office in 2010. People who bailed out Wall Street were back in congress talking about small govt and electorate seems to have slept thru the entire episode.

Agreed, the guy is an evil far more sinister that Nixon. It will be interesting to see how hos home state treats him next Tuesday. I’d love to see the stain on the backside of his trousers when he does not come in first :relaxed:
