“that’s not our party, that is not us”
No, Senator Flake.
That IS “your party”.
That IS “you”.
Have you been on Mars for the last countless decades, or just dropping the brown acid again?

Moore in 2006 said that Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), the first Muslim elected to Congress, should not be sworn in because the Quran was incompatible with the Constitution, a position Flake said Republicans should disagree with vocally.

This.

From a guy who was suspended from his position as Chief Justice on the Alabama Supreme Court because he couldn’t abide the Constitution on same-sex marriage.

Anyone who’s taken even a cursory look at this guy’s career would swear Christianity is incompatible with the Constitution.

Flake said he was “troubled” by some of Moore’s remarks.

“Troubled”?

Uneasy, uncomfortable, bothered, concerned, unsettled, disconcerted…by some of Moore’s remarks:

“Moore in 2005 said homosexual activity should be illegal and compared it to bestiality. In 2006 he said Muslims should be barred from serving in Congress. Earlier this year he suggested the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks happened because America turned away from G-d.”

How about, “Shocked beyond words at the immoral bigotry of this horrible excuse for a human being”?

Or, “Compelled to call out Donald Trump for lending aid and comfort to this un-American cancer”?

Maybe, “Morally obligated by the Constitutional oath to insure this evil menace loses at the ballot box”?

If Flake can’t muster the courage to speak that simple truth, then he outta consider keeping his mouth shut.

And slinking back into his milquetoast, fake-maverick, Party-Over-America hole.

“I think that when we disagree with something so fundamental like that, we ought to stand up and say, that’s not right, that’s not our party, that is not us,” he said.

On the other hand when something so fundamental is the foundation of our party, we ought to say we’re troubled or simply lie about it for public consumption.

I think that someone to explain to Mister Flake that he is, in fact, a Republican.

That seems to have escaped his notice.

On the other hand, if he does manage to hold onto his seat all of the conscientious flatulence he’s letting off now will be forgotten until 2024.

Wasn’t Ellison sworn in using Thomas Jefferson’s copy of the Koran, causing Reich wingers to clutch their pearls, gnash their teeth and rend their garments?

Mr. Flake needs to register as a Dem or an independent. The GOP is rotting from within.

Stand up!? You’re kidding, right? This asshole who I believe was poured out of a colostomy bag is just saying out loud what many of your Republican colleagues are afraid to because they are gutless. They will be campaigning for him in his election. If EVER, including David Duke, there would be a candidate who should be expelled the day he is elected it would be this POS.

What you said. He wants it both ways, you know, to preserve the chance for his future service to the country. Big of him. Hey, Flake, how about you take a knee – and a moral stand?
