Fine time to grow a proto-spine, Jeff…

So…McConnell won’t budge but Flake should? Hatch (that creepy little sucka$$) thinks it’s gone too far and Cruz is weighing in? Lovely. I hope Flake holds but I wouldn’t put money on it.

Looks like Sen. Flake wants to have a political future in the post-Trump era. It may be ‘Too little too late’, but I’m still glad he’s doing it.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) accused Flake of pulling a fast one on voters who wanted rapid confirmation of conservative judges.

Really? The voters went to the polls for confirmation of conservative judges? Sure they did Ted, sure they did.

Their ire should be directed at Turtle McTurtleface, not Jeff Flake.

Process question: Does Flake have to actively continue holds or are the holds now the de facto position and he would need to take affirmative action to lift holds?

When Flake first said this, I went against the grain here in the thread and said I thought he would stand by this. I am glad to see he has.

Unfortunately, this will all vanish in January and for at least the next 2 years the Republicans will be able to go full steam ahead with packing the federal judiciary with more Republican hacks in the Kavanaugh mold. This is just a speed bump on the road to realization of McConnell’s evil scheme.

And, according to a Thursday Politico report, Flake’s Republican peers are not taking kindly to his stand.

So far, Flake has reportedly pushed pause on 21 potential judges, including opposing Thomas Farr on the Senate floor.

I thought burying judicial nominees put forward by lame duck Presidents was something Republicans were fond of?

I think that Flake finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy on Netflix and hopes to reemerge politically like Baby Groot. Watch for Baby Flake in 2020.

Draws frustration? Not enough frustration.

Gee, you’d almost think Flake knew the correct and moral stance to take for the last six years!

If it comes out that Trump is guilty of everything we know he is the Unamerican Repubs are going to take one hell of a hit.

Orrin Hatch has become dotty as hell.

The Deplorables have been drinking the “party over country” kool-aid for a long time, now. Don’t see them flipping on their own masters.

One of Trump’s most reliable republicans.

The only answer you’ll ever need to Flake on any question is this- he voted for Kavanuagh.
