I believe the greatest challenge facing our nation is a fundamental question of whether truth matters. If it does, and the vast majority of citizens insist upon it in government, we will survive to heal the damage of this presidency. If not, I don’t know that we will.

For that reason, I commend any efforts regardless of motivation to shine light upon the truth, no matter how cynical my initial reaction may be, as it was in this case.

Absolutely— and we, the American people— need to stand behind them and push.

Lawmakers in the thrall of a person who has nothing but contempt for law.

I wonder what comes of that.

Great idea, BUT focusing on the dossier risks ignoring the big story that the NYT broke last week–that it was Papadopolous’ drunken maunderings to an Australian diplomat that alerted the FBI to Russia’s tampering. The dossier is really a sidetrack.

Never try to keep up with an Aussie when drinking is involved.

OT but from the same country that gave us Mr. Steele: Britain interested in joining Trans-Pacific trade deal after Brexit

we don’t know how many FBI investigations Mueller inherited…
My fourth grade teacher started me diagramming sentences, so in her honor I’m bemused by this:
“… our sources said the dossier was taken so seriously because it corroborated reports the bureau had received from other sources, including one inside the Trump camp,”
Ms Conlon would tell me -the FBI had a report from the Trump Camp- and that raises some important questions separate from the dossier.

“…the firm has been unfairly maligned by Trump’s allies.”

That's a club with an extensive membership list.

The GRASSHOLE gets confronted with demands to release the testimony at one of his Town Halls. He lies to them saying he will release it after “it’s cleared”.

The GRASSHOLE still refuses to release the testimony.

Question–What Kompormat does Putin have on The GRASSHOLE?

“The intelligence committees have known for months that credible allegations of collusion between the Trump camp and Russia were pouring in from independent sources during the campaign,” the continued. “Yet lawmakers in the thrall of the president continue to wage a cynical campaign to portray us as the unwitting victims of Kremlin disinformation.”

The important message from this letter is hardly about the dossier but rather about Republicans covering up and derailing the investigation. This is a story that needs to be told in and of itself. The letter also points out the selective leaks by the committee and lets everyone know that the dossier is a mere “chapter” within the intelligence gathered, a warning they do not even bother to veil.

Number three, right after “never get involved in a land war in Asia” and “never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line.” But number four is “never task Devin Nunes to get you out of a mess he helped create.”

You are right about detailing and exposing the cover-up.

Seriously. Or anyone associated, even loosely, with LSU or the University of Wisconsin. Ignore this warning at your peril.

Was surprised when I read it last night. Fusion is willing to show their cards. Imagine being the White House and thinking Fusion is the beginning and suddenly, they are simply the applied due diligence. Yes, let us see the transcript.

The White House has to be in panic mode by now. Once again, they think they have the handle on things and the real action is elsewhere. Mr. President, pick a card, any card.
