Discussion: Fiorina On Moore: ‘Trump Cares About A Vote In The Senate, No More, No Less’

I would add that while yes - Trump’s concern is about a vote in the senate - but for Trump, it is more than that. It is avoiding the personal abasement he felt because the candidate he backed for the Senate lost in the primary - and for him that was a personal affront. His motivation is always primarily about him - and his perception as the “all powerful influencer”.

Fiorina’s tying this state back to the G Washington quote certainly fits the tribalistic rationalizations that many Alabama voters will embrace in order to vote for Moore, but it doesn’t fit the primal motivation for Trump.

Accurate assessment, milady, but don’t get your hopes up that anybody is going to want you as a Senate candidate just because you’re Republican, female and conscious*.

Sorry, Carly.

*allegedly.

“Former 2016 presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said Sunday that the President all but endorsing Roy Moore, despite mounting allegations of sexual misconduct against him, is “all about politics” and isn’t reflective of the recent uprise in harassment allegations being taken more seriously in the public eye.”

What strikes me is she has to put that into the context of the “uprise” in lieu of looking at Moore’s allegations independently. If #metoo had never been a thing, it would still have been the right thing to say just on Moore’s record alone.

Pity that Fiorina didn’t choose to reveal whether SHE thinks that Moore should be allowed into the Senate, or did that happen elsewhere in her interview?

Trump cares about Trump. Donald Trump - not Donald Jr, not Eric, not Ivanka, et al, not wives past, present, and future, but only and always Donald Trump.

She wants her multimillion-dollar tax cut. No more. No less.

While I do acknowledge that Dems have been and are guilty of this. This is not a both sides issue at the moment. As this is something Trump is happy with running with.

I don’t recall the last time Democrats instructed people to vote for a child molester?

PLEASE, PLEASE, stop with false equivalencies.

This is NOT a balanced debate here.

Pretty weak sauce there, Ms. Fiorina. Particularly after all the “respect” Drumpf showed you!

Sorry, Carly: no reputation-rehab for you. You’re still complicit.

Typical Carly–lying just like Orange Foolius. And Lyin’ Carly is just like every Republican–anything that grabs and keeps political power is fair game. When Moore is elected she will gladly back him!

An example of the brazen, tribal hypocrisy via twitter:

Why, in her list of wrong doers, did she not mention Donnie Ronnie Trump?

Cut the Luke Russert “Both Sides Do It” routine!

Name ONE Democrat who have been involved with underage kids.

And no one blinks about his now saying his Access Hollywood tape is fake. We will never get past this, as if “You lie!” et al weren’t enough, the next Democratic President will not be able to burp without screams of lying.

Fiorina said she thinks the culture that protects men who harass women won’t change until other men start to come forward and stop respecting the men who “abuse their position of power in return for sex.”

Yeah, it's a goddamned shame the way men enable this behavior.

We know. Law and morality are irrelevant.

But it isn’t just Trump. This is the problem with the economic elites.

It’s why they have stacks of NDAs, teams of delay-motivated lawyers, and reserved seats in the first pew.

Um, if Moore wins it won’t be a collection of economic elites that vote him into office. Likely 90% of those voting for him will be so far removed from elite status they couldn’t afford bus fare to pay any elites a visit.
