Discussion for article #242446

“There are all kinds of egos in politics.”

Hmm, I hadn’t noticed.

Fuck 'em, I say. Let 'em tour the country holding debates in the open on a flat-bed truck.

As the governor of Ohio we are used to answering tough questions all the time," Kasich spokesperson Chris Schrimpf told Politico.

Is that the Royal We or are The Borg governing Ohio now?

“As we have expressed publicly, we encourage the RNC to sanction conservative networks such as the Blaze and One America News to host and moderate a debate …” Fiorina spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores wrote in the email, according to Politico.

Well, who can blame her for wanting a sober prestigious temple of journalism like The Blaze in charge of the debates? It’s been pretty brutal watching these left-wing partisans like Fox and CNBC ask gotcha question after gotcha question.

As we have expressed publicly, we encourage the RNC to sanction conservative networks such as the Blaze and One America News to host an moderate a debate. We do not care whether it’s 67 degrees or our green
room isn’t as plush as another candidate. Team Carly will not be signing this letter," Fiorina spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores wrote in the email, according to Politico

Oh Burn! Fiorino does know the art of a passive/aggressive hit. She doesn’t know facts, but she knows ho to give a great burn.

The damage is done. The Repub candidates are wusses and can’t handle simple questions by friendly hosts.

Fiorina Christie and Kasich combined aren’t clearing the margin of error I believe, so of course they’ll debate/lie anywhere with anyone. They are just fluff and a hell of a lot of filler at this point.

Are those candidates who refused to sign trying to set themselves up for a VP nod from Trump if he wins the Republican nom?

A “signer” and a “refusenik” seem unlikely to couple up…

Resistance is buckeyed?

GOP candidates are a bunch of pussies…

If Trump won the GOP nod, I think he would do away with the VP, or name himself or a family member VP. His ego is too big to work with someone else on the ticket.

Combined, they make up about 9% of the national polling.

But the risk here is this could very quickly become the Tea Party purity test de jour. And meekly bowing to those liberal network communists instead of standing up and DEMANDING…not negotiating…DEMANDING the room temperature be set at 67 just shows they are all RINOs.

Not possible. The Constitution requires a Vice President, and the VP needs to be from a different state, which pretty much excludes any of his family members.

And I point this out, not to be a know it all, but to show the real problems with a “Trump administration”. Not one single thing that he bleats out on the campaign trail is realistically do-able. Most runs smack into the conflict with the Constitution, and the rest runs smack into a Congress that would have absolutely no interest or desire to do one single thing for Trump.

Says poll skewer Davey ; )

I wasn’t trying to be deadly accurate, just making the point that they are all at the bottom of the heap and are desperate. If they have to actually put on the red nose and the whole clown uniform to get noticed, then dagnabbit, that’s what they’ll do.

Hmmm…

You sound like an anti-Clownist. I’ll bet you don’t even sleep with your gun every night. And read books and newspapers instead of the back of the cereal box like real muricans.

I know better, but this continues to amaze me. He seems to know almost nothing about how this country’s government works. You want to talk about debates, I don’t think he could hold his own with a moderately studious middle-schooler when it came to that knowledge. The weakest Democratic candidate would destroy him if it came to that. Sound bites, put-downs, sure, no problemo, that’s the horse that got him here. But anybody with half a strategy could show him up as the fake he is.

Chemical or geographic?

I would take it one step further. If he were capable and wanted to actually engage in a policy discussion…

…his base would reject him in droves.

RINO isn’t just about positions held these days. Its about having any substance at all and not insulting people. That’s the new purity test…how far can one fling his poo?
