Discussion: Finicum Family Accuses Gov't Of A 'Cover-Up' Of Occupier's 'Unjustified' Death

Discussion for article #245478

Even IF the OSP (NOT the FBI, they were not at the roadblock) fired on Finicum after he exited the vehicle, he exited the vehicle after attempting to run a roadblock and had to be assumed to be armed and dangerous. IT would STILL be a righteous and legal shoot in such a case.

Of course. Claiming a vast conspiracy is the only way to keep the donations coming…

The only “cover up” around here is when you’ll be throwing dirt on his coffin. I hate to be so cold, but I hate even more these self-righteous militant gunned-up traitorous goons who insist on more and more handouts from the rest of us who think they can draw down on law enforcement without consequences.

This ain’t an episode of Gunsmoke. If you arm yourself against the Feds, shit gets real really really fast. The unfortunate thing is that your self-righteousness will prevent you from learning the lessons this incident offers. Such is the plight of the anti-intellectual right.

they forgot to mention the Men in Black and the Black Helicopters providing air support…

Their alternative is to say “Yeah, our brother/father/husband was a dangerously violent jerk.” Which is something of a step in the immediate aftermath of a patriarch’s death. How long the denial/anger phase will last is anyone’s guess.

This is incorrect. Both were at the roadblock and present at the shooting; it’s been reported here that the person Finicum almost ran over was FBI.

Awww…did they get a sad because their ARMED, CONFRONTATIONAL AND SUICIDAL widdle criminal got a boo-boo. Sorry folks, as much as I object to police murder, I also know that one should know by now that the cops have itchy trigger fingers and to not provoke a confrontation with cops. Especially while armed.

Were there 2 vehicles with the domestic terrorists/insurgents? One stopped at the road block and then Finicum drove the second one around if I recall correctly. Which vehicle was Shawna Cox in - the one that stopped or the one driven by Finicum? Also, like law enforcement is going to let Cox anywhere near a downed fellow insurgent who is known to carry a firearm even to provide first aid.

Found it:

In McConnell’s telling, the group was divided between two vehicles when they came across the authorities. He said he drove one car along with Ammon Bundy and Brian Cavalier, who he referred to by his nickname “Buddha.” (Cavalier has also been referred to at times during the standoff as “fluffy unicorn.”) McConnell said Finicum drove another vehicle along with Ryan Bundy, Ryan Payne, Shauna Cox and the 18-year-old girl.

Cox was with Finicum, hunched down in the back floorboard. I believe she was the one that kept hearing him yell “Shoot me. Shoot me.”

where do you think the video came from? duh.

If the officers were shooting at the truck before Lavoy got out, it wouldn’t be a surprise or an incorrect thing to do. The guy was barelling down the road in a heavy vehicle at high speed and did almost hit a FBI agent. It would be so unsurprising that they would shoot at the truck to Cox because according to her before Lavoy took off he pretty much said they should be careful because they were going to get fired on. If Cox was 17 you could add endangering the welfare of a minor to Lavoy’s rap-sheet.

If this was all an ambush designed to kill, why was only Lavoy killed and why did they wait for him to drive away, almost hit an FBI agent and twice reach for his gun before doing so. Sure, he might’ve been stumbling in the snow, but I’ve stumbled in the snow plenty of times and I’ve never reached for my armpit as a result.

There is no coverup. If anything, he got the benefit of the doubt on multiple occasions. As others have pointed out, if he were black, we wouldn’t even be discussing this.

But if it makes them feel better, maybe they can start an offshoot from BLM, let’s say we call it Redneck Lives Matter?

already done, google #RanchersLivesMatter
