The most recent tragedy comes at a time when facilities at the border are being overwhelmed by the number of immigrants, many of them families, crossing over.

Iā€™m sure Kate Riga did not intend to blame the immigrants, so Iā€™ll just take this as really bad writing.

Kinda odd that these kids walked/hitch-hiked/whatever through all of those dangerous areas and deserts with limited resources, poor sanitation, lack of clean water, etc. Some for weeks or months.

Then they die in fucking America.

Anyone at CBP claiming that these are just tragic accidents I call bullshit on.

Maybe we need some international Red Cross folks in to inspect the living conditions at every place that immigrants are being held.

The authorities along the border are overwhelmed because of the Administrationā€™s policies of gratuitous cruelty. These deaths, not to mention the rest of the human rights abuses, are a direct result of the Administrationā€™s malice. Anyone in this country who imagines the Administration will not do the same to the rest of us, given motive and opportunity, is asleep.
