I think everyone on the left needs to relax…the right wing is shrinking and all this crap they’re doing and saying is like the last blazes of a dying comet. Change in any society that uses religion as its base will be slow but it comes. Christians used religion in the dark ages to burn people at the stake for being witches, Christians used war and massacres to force their religion on others vis the crusades. Christians used religion as an excuse to own people and support slavery. Christians used religion to deny women rights before the 1920’s. Christians used religion as an excuse to murder and slaughter the American Indians, true Americans, not whitebread European Americans. Chrisitians used religion as a tool to keep blacks out of society and equal treatment even today. Christians used religion to deny blacks and whites to marry. Christians use religion to deny women the right to their own bodies. Point being, no matter how much they hate “others” who do not share their religious beliefs they end up on the wrong side of history. No more witch burning, no more mass slaughters of non christians, no more “black only” signs, no more denying the rights of interracial marriages. Religion is dying, and chrisitans have no one to blame but themselves for giving religion such an ugly black past and even today religion is ugly. But they will fail because good always beats evil…always has. And every single solitary discriminatory law that christians put on the books can and will be removed, eventually. Change comes, in America slower than other western nations but none the less it comes.

It’s called political satire and, in my opinion, it’s in bad taste no matter who is the victim of the “joke”. But if you dish it out then at least be a grown up and take it too.
