So why would someone who has worked for the states of AL and GA become such a grifter? Which now makes me wonder how much,or if any, he grifted in thosw state positions?
When I was a kid I’d occasionally see a noir film on late-night TV, and they’d always freak me out. Everyone ended up dead, in jail, or severely broken in spirit, and I’d vow, sitting there alone in the pale blue glow, not to get anywhere near such doings and to live a decent honest life. That’s why jackals and parasites like this puzzle me on a certain level. Isn’t it just easier, really, to do your job and try to do it well? Simpler? Don’t you sleep better? I don’t get it, really. On an old closed runway, 20,833 pallets of bottled water, now unfit for human consumption. This water could have saved some lives if it had been distributed.

In the federal agency that I work for, we are hiring a dozen more ethics officers. I’m ok with that, we are very careful to operate ethically. Funny though that the politicals target the civil servants for more ethics oversight as a policy and then some (many) of them thumb their noses at the same ethics rules. Most. Corrupt. Administration. Ever.

I say take “Director Long” and chopper him into the most devastated spot of Puerto Rico. Drop him off, give him some blue tarps and his weight in duct tape and let him try to build some sort of shelter. I’ll bet you a week’s worth of bottled water and batteries that "aid’ would begin flowing into wherever you drop off this slimeball. Within a month he would have his own taxpayer built condo, and ten feet beyond his property line the island and the people would still be living hand to mouth.
After that, the Great Orange Pretender can visit him once a month and toss rolls of paper towels at him as he hovers overhead in Marine One.
