But Brock, âBrownieâ himself said youâre great, not a political hack!
Of course The guy might feel he needs to kowtow to the Commander in Cheat just to do a decent job.
Thatâd be par for the course.
âThe bottom line is, the question is, a local mayorâs job is to push commanderâs intent down to his or her troops.â
Say what?
Mayor Cruz and Congressman Gutierrez did meet with several federal officials, including FEMA, as recently as Friday. They received specific commitments on volume of needed supplies like water and food. They reported to the govât officials about the inadequacy of supply to meet the demand. The military seems to acknowledge this as the number of people without potable water has increased in the last few days. That percentage should be going down, not up. I do believe the military will be able to stabilize this situation with a good, solid week of effort, but FEMA appears more like they are fearing congressional hearings and looking for scapegoats. There is a design flaw in their role which PR exposed. They donât take enough direct hands on control for response delivery. They view themselves as coordinators. It doesnât work if the first responders are completely devastated and there is no infrastructure for them to use to execute. FEMA should take responsibility for not demanding more military assistance early on in the process. Their handling of this is definitely open to scrutiny and criticism.
the fact that what weâre trying to do and what we have successfully done is we have established a joint field office within San Juan,â
Just fuck you. Can you eat a field office?
Trump and FEMA Boy can both STFU. The response to PR has been inexcusably horrible. Weather models showed PR getting a direct hit from Maria (and serious glancing blow from Irma), so there was plenty of time to prepare for the inevitable disaster. Drumpf could have easily sent ships south of PR, out of the stormâs path, waiting for it to pass so the ships could immediately come into the harbor. Anyone professing to be a FEMA pro or disaster relief pro could have easily put ships in place to be in PR at the earliest safe opportunity. I guaran-effing-tee you that had Mar-a-Lago been in the cross hairs of a hurricane, Drumpf would have had scores of emergency personnel and equipment standing by. This is Drumpfâs Katrina and we can never let him wiggle out of it.
I sort of thought the FEMA folks would stay on point and out of the political crap. I am presuming he got pressured to weigh in.
How did Brock not screw up the prior responses, not too bad at least?
shorter Brock Long: âI have been ordered by the WH to criticize Puerto Ricans and so provide essential succor & support for the Pres. and his fat golfing ass.â
From Joshâs edblog yesterday:
Every conflict quickly boils down honorable and white soldiers, police and first responders versus non-white ingrates
And, this story today:
Trump accused Cruz of âpoor leadership abilityâ and continued to attack âpolitically motivated ingratesâ on Sunday.
He called it folks!
ETA: Literally as I type, lol:
He knows what side his bread is buttered on.
I think thatâs a pretty reasonable thing to assume. Career professionals being made to carry unreasonable political handicaps and burdens on top of their technical jobs, with an overarching chaos bogging everyone down.
He is so defensive. I wonder why??
Just shut up and do your fucking job.
If mattâs right, heâs doing it.
âHey, Iâm doing my best here to defend the late, slow, inadequate response of FEMA and the federal government. And hoping the relief efforts can catch up so fewer lives are lost, and that President Snowflake doesnât get his feelings hurt too badly and pull the plug.â
âIngratesâ. Itâs always fun to notice when Trump discovers a new word to add to his extensive vocabulary. I think that now gets him up to almost 50 words?
Hereâs Mariaâs path. It was known for days that this was the most likely one. 2 days out, it was essentially 100% certain PR would take a direct hit. Why the hell didnât Drumpf position help as close as possible without putting the first responders in harmâs way? Inexcusable indifference by the Orange Fecal Stain.

[/quote]I wonder what TV show he heard it on, and who told him what it means.
This piece of crap got on âThis Weekâ and started attacking the mayor of San Juan!!!
This guy was so disgusting! Instead of saying he would help her, he attacked her!!!
I guess the idiot in the WH put him up to this.
This guy should be fired. A total disgrace and an embarrassment! He is NOT helping the people of P.R. He is attacking them!!! Gawd this Trump administration is the worst!!!
