Discussion for article #223475
Thanks Feinstein. Your words will be quite useful for the right wing talking points and providing fresh red meat to the “liberal” media. Bravo.
I’ve always said that my Democratic Senator, Ms. Feinstein, was the last of the moderate Republicans in that body.
Pearl-clutching because the CIC didn’t bother to beg for permission from your leak-riddled partisan hack-fest before acting to recover an American POW? I’m okay with that. Question is: Why aren’t you?
But “dismay” over “not following the law” with regard to domestic surveillance of Americans?
“Not so much”.
Diane seems to always be dismayed about something . . . .
Pouty, Pouty!
This old asshole need to get in her car, drive to the Staples Center, and have every one of those seats. You don’t give the other side this kind of ammo against your own president. Political malpractice. CA, please replace Feinstein with an actual Democrat instead of John McCain in a wig.
In other comments Chambliss indicated that President Obama had consulted (at least) the senator, perhaps the whole committee (?) a “year and a half ago.” I do not understand how this doesn’t qualify as notification. Perhaps there’s some specific language in the law that conveys exactly the kind of notification that needs to be served, as well as the time frame?
Can someone clarify that for me?
Frankly with all the conservative thugs, leakers and cowardly dems . . . .
“You deserve to be kept in the dark”.

But she’s in a snit that a prerogative of her branch of government wasn’t granted! Clearly that’s worth any amount of damage to the bigger picture.
Or… she’s playing 11th dimension chess and baiting them into impeachment. I wish I believed the latter.
This proves my point, an education and age does not give everyone wisdom, Feinstein should keep her wrinkled stupid mouth shut or find a different profession!!!
Much like Margaret Dumont in a Marx Bros. movie.
Margaret Dumont: I’m not the dummy.
Chico: Well, you could be.
Thanks for helping the GOP Diane. Is your beef about the prisoner exchange, or that you weren’t asked to bless the transaction?
I’ll tell you this as a San Franciscan. She became Mayor of San Francisco in 1978 in the aftermath of the murders of Harvey Milk and George Moscone who was the Mayor and did a fine job of helping heal the wounds, but we’re not keeping her seat warm at City Hall.
She has been in congress too long. Has a queen complex and feels that her ass must be kissed. Time to retire this bitch
I’m getting a bit tired of Feinstein’s dog and pony show. A new more progressive Senator from CA would be a breath of fresh air, frankly.
According to the NSA, she was briefed… oops… didn’t mean for that to get out.
Barbara Boxer, our other Democratic Senator in California, is a fine counterpoint to Feinstein’s conservatism.
they didn’t say “may i”.
