Discussion: Feinstein Turned Over A Mysterious Letter About Brett Kavanaugh To The FBI

A ‘MeToo’ moment for Kavanaugh would be just perfect. Only the best people!

I’m starting to think it’s not just wishful thinking to reckon this guy is toast.

It’s like every damn day something new pops up about this guy. Imagine if they had all the torture porn documents that are being hidden away.

Hmmmmm. Paid for an abortion perhaps?

He was not McConnel’s first choice. McConnel seemed to be aware this guy had issues.

I wonder if there was some kind of threat made to this individual.

I’m sure whatever it is he asked Jesus to forgive him so we’re all good now.

Kavanaugh always struck me as dirty and I really thought Dem oppo would’ve dug more up on him by now. He has some debt problems which usually tie to vices like gambling, drugs or other compulsive behavior. He’s socially awkward AF and lies at will. If he isn’t the poster child for mediocrity being promoted because of white entitlement, I don’t know what is. Given his close relationship with Kozinski, it’s quite possible that this is a sexual harassment related issue. We don’t know, but for the guy who spent millions of tax payer dollars trying to dig into Bill Clinton’s sex life, it would be the least surprising thing in the world if it turned out that Kavanaugh was a sexual harasser.

Brett Kavanaugh apparently has more skeletons in his closet than Jeffrey Dahmer.

Except if it did happen in high school, we’ll start hearing about how preposterous that is, so long ago, etc., but not for Al Franken (who I desperately hope runs again). However, for a SC lifetime appoint, just adolescent mischief.

It. Will. Not. Matter.

Possibly but I remain a skeptic. If the issue is “decades old” as the bit says I don’t think the substance of the letter but how it was obtained may be the reason for dragging the FBI into it. If the document’s substance was relevant to the confirmation hearing Sen. Feinstein would be obligated to divulge it. The FBI plays no role in confirmation so I suspect it’s more about how the document came to light than what’s in it.

The Dems may have found the silver bullet to kill this nomination. good on them.

And yet in the Cosby case there were many people who went on the record with allegations of significant crimes. Here, none. Sounds like wishful thinking.

Thanks for this important reminder.

For someone supposedly groomed from the get-go for the Supreme Court, he seems to have an awful long paper trail (that the Repubs have been trying to hide) and a LOT of issues that should have excluded him during screening.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, it makes one wonder from what this nomination is a diversion?!?

iWhy in the world would anyone think this is a diversion? This is the culmination of a successful coup on the SCOTUS by the GOP and the thing they wanted the most besides tax cuts.

Not saying you are wrong, but if there is an allegation of a crime that is not beyond the statute of limitations then she’d have to refer to law enforcement. To go public with an allegation like that before it is investigated would be way, way too risky for a person like Feinstein.
