Discussion: Feinstein: Calls For Pause In Kavanaugh Nom Until FBI Investigates Alleged Sexual Assault

Ffs, why didn’t Feinstein disclose this letter weeks ago?!

She never did release it, and never received permission from the author to release it. It leaked on its own when the FBI included it in the Kavanaugh background file which was available to every senator.

She was asked not to by the victim. She honored that. Be patient grasshopper. More will be revealed.

It didn’t really leak on it’s own. It was a carefully orchestrated release by a slimy GOP senator that coincided with the almost immediate release of the very improbable letter signed by 65 women who profess to have known Kavanaugh 35 years ago as students at neighboring all girls school in the Georgetown area. Do you know 35 kids either male or female who could attest to your good behavior from high school? I sure don’t.

It would appear that Mr Kavanaugh was very popular with many young ladies. Seems strange that he would have to force himself on the future Mrs Ford. Calls into guestion the honest accuracy of that list of names supplied by his Republican friends.

This is Ronny Jackson all over again—you promise the boss a corrupt favor and get a nice new job. I certainly hope Collins, Murkowski, and any GOP senator in a tight race think long and hard about being part of this little conspiracy. This is corruption at literally the highest level possible.

To railroad a vote now would be an insult to the women of America and the integrity of the Supreme Court.

Feature, not a bug.

The entire purpose of nominating Kavanaugh is to destroy the integrity of the Supreme Court. That’s what the Kochs & McConnell & everyone else whose goals are frustrated by the very existence of effective law enforcement.

The insult to women is just the sugar that helps Trump take his medicine.

Somewhere Murkowski and Collins are curled into the fetal position hoping they can keep ignoring this

DO you know this for a fact? I definitely think the 65 women letter was bizarre and suggests prior knowledge of the accusation by the Repubs (I read something that said they became aware of it several weeks ago).

But I don’t see that releasing the accusation now was really good timing for republicans. Maybe better than next Wednesday… But I think trying to railroad this through in the face of a credible accusation is not a good look. Particularly for Murkowski and Collins.

Welp, then, how about a little procedural hardball, Chucky and DiFi? Oh. Right. “But…NORMS!” Not wartime consiglieri. At all.

Now then, if you’ll just lower your pants, Mr. Kavanaugh, we’ll have to branded and out of here in a jiffy.

Until recently this would have seemed to be an overly cynical theory.

By now, it seems simply correct.

She went to the all-girls Holton-Arms School in Bethesda.

Ford named two other teenagers who she said were at the party. Those individuals did not respond to messages on Sunday morning.

Jeff Flake just came out saying they can not take a vote until they get more information on the accusations. Lindsay Graham said something similar earlier. This shit is starting to stick. Kavenaugh isn’t quite as golden as he was at this time last week.

They’ll vote party line. Trust me. I don’t give 1% chance either one would get religion over this revelation.

They will, saying to themselves “It’s for the court! It’s for the court!”

Republicans don’t have a good look left in them.

The inevitable Kavanaugh impeachment will look twice as bad, because they rammed this confirmation through. It’s already been reported that this guy has had a gambling, drinking and credit problems. All these often converge within a sexual predator personality. He’s so out of control, he tries to compensate by trying to control others?
