I’ve said it before, but I don’t much care how or who does it but I want to see Sessions gone and I don’t give one shit who replaces him at this point.
I particularly despise the Slytherin House Elf. Nasty little racist reactionary motherfucker.
She said that she and other members have made “repeated requests” for Sessions to be invited to testify, to no avail, and requested that Grassley invite Sessions to appear “at the first opportunity in August or September.”
Better do it this week. August will be too late to get testimony from Sessions while he is still Attorney General.
Next time, don’t hold back.
His luck seems to have gotten really bad all of a sudden.
I love it, too. McConnell’s little smug smile drives everyone crazy but it’s this one’s smug little smile that makes me feel like doing things I can’t talk about online.
I do like hearing that Feinstein has requested those IC transcripts.
Here’s hoping beleaguered Beauregard has an extremely short shelf life.
So Feinstein has read the Kislyak intercepts. Awesome!
I’ve watched that exchange between Franken and Sessions a few times and it seems to me that Sessions was going out of his way to brag about being a “surrogate” for the campaign.
I hope that little weasel is toast.
“If this is true, it would be directly contrary to the testimony that Attorney General Sessions gave – under oath – before the Judiciary Committee during his confirmation hearings,” Feinstein wrote. “It would also be directly contrary to public statements made by the Attorney General.”
Quelle surprise!
Yeah he only has done this 3 times already.
I’m so glad they finally snapped to it. (rollingmyeyes)
I agree with the sentiment, but respectfully point out that Slytherin House Elves are involuntary captives. But Sessions most assuredly is a “nasty little racist reactionary motherfucker.”
Saw some pretty plausible speculation on Twitter as to why Trump is all of a sudden newly eager to humiliate Sessions and force him out: Trump probably asked Sessions either to un-recuse himself, or to outright fire Mueller, and Sessions refused. Has a lot of explanatory thrust, doesn’t it?
hahahahahahahaha For you, rob_beatty_walters, I will concede the Slytherin House Elf point.
All true, but the feeding frenzy hasn’t reached full intensity, and patience will bring rewards. Sessions
must have a lot of dirt on Trump, and Trump is desperately trying to humiliate and embarrass him into resigning so that he doesn’t have to deal with the blowback from firing him. I think this will become a War of the Roses–they may well destroy each other
Although I tend to agree, the fact that I think Trump is capable of trying to appoint Steve Bannon to head the Justice Department, makes me think I DO care who takes his place. He’s a terrible racist reactionary motherfucker, but they can go lower if they want.
Anyone who replaces Sessions requires confirmation and at this point it will be a very heavy lift.
O very. Congress will not confirm anyone in that position they aren’t pretty sure is loyal to the constitution and not to Trump so they are already at odds.
@percysowner - that is one candidate who wouldn’t be confirmed for any reason.
Have you seen the TPM Wray article yet? Curious to hear your thoughts in that discussion.
No I guess not.
How about a dose of delish (in terms of resulting squirming happening in the WH) : at the same time folks are floating around that Trump is itching to dump Sessions and name Guiliani as a recess appointment - Guiliani is telling CNN that Sessions was right to recuse himself.
Donnie’s goon squad hauling ass in different directions - none (not even smooch) makes Donnie look good.
