Why is this news for TPM?
First, maybe he is not guiltyā assuming he has some porn files, you do not know how they got there, and it could be innocent the way people share hard drive contents through things like Dropbox. Second, why is TPM helping to embarrass and convict a guy who has nothing to so with politics or anything else rather than chain store hoagies? Might not this space be used for some reporting on, say, Iran nuclear talks, NATO in the Baltic, Puerto Ricoās fiscal problems, etc? Really Joshā stuff like this is crap, and if this is the best you and your crew of recent college grads can do, just sell out to TMZ and I will not waste my time with you and your rag anymore!

Yeah, Iām a big proponent of the āinnocent until proven guiltyā crowd and get pissed off with the witch-hunts. On the other hand, this isnāt just a knee-jerk reaction, but a follow-up to a situation that had already walked him down the road. And Paul Reubens was masturbating in a porn theaterā¦ the only thing harmed possibly was his sore right arm. This situation has a very high potential for a national figure being part of a child porn ring based on the history of the individual and convictions of those in close association with himā¦ not the same thing.
And youāre right, child porn is an issue that cuts across both conservative and liberal politics. This isnāt the Salem witch trial.
