Makes sense. Both institutions are riddled with entirely too many closet fascists who enlist precisely in order to be able to commit civil rights (and worse!) violations with impunity. Just ask Don Rumsfeld.

After all, these are the cops who need 'em, are just the ones that’ll appreciate having them, and the ones that’ll put them to use.
The review was on live TV in Ferguson. What else do they need to know? The police have militarized under aid from the military. What is the surprise?
If you give the already over authoritative, looking for confrontation cops bigger toys, they will play with them. That is now a 100% proven fact.
A cop slayed an innocent citizen and the reaction is to bust out intended for war assault weapons, full jungle camo and tanks but not to deal with the actual crime. The added weaponry was not necessary but it all came out because it was there and the troops love it. Nothing at all to do with serving or protecting, just a show of force and intimidation.
This is the part of government that the teabaggers ought to be raging about.
this has to be the stupidest program I ever heard of - yet we can fill and hour on news shows talking about lap dances. I want to know who voted to implement this program - that’s right media, dig up congress’ votes and then ask the yeas why they voted on this program in the first place
