Unless someone ‘defects’ (do people still do this?) this is a mystery that will never be solved. If whatever sources we have in place knew, it would be solved already.

Headline is ambiguous. I thought the Feds were continuing to confound the probe, no, they are continuing the the probe which is confounding.
Well, how do they crack this case? This seems pretty straight forward. The investigation has been going on for at least a year and it appears they still have no idea what exactly happened or who did it. It’s surmised that some sort of ultrahigh frequency weapon or devise was used, and that it as far as they’ve gotten?
Unless someone talks, you tell me how this gets solved? And to be clear, I’d be happy to be corrected and be wrong.
First off I haven’t really paid it much attention, to the point where you saying it’s been going on a year really surprises me.
That said skimming through these latest stories and thinking about Cuba and what I assume is their lack of sophistication in other technology, I just don’t think they’d have something our tech guys don’t already know or could figure out pretty quickly given a few clues.
Also seem like if someone else like the Russians had it they’d be using it elsewhere on US and other country diplomates. And this seem like the only case of it.
So based on all that, I’d almost say it seems like it was something out of Guantanamo we were trying to use and it backfired and we’re too embarrassed to admit it.
