Discussion: Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks Trump's Travel Ban Nationwide

It seems this judge is stopping some of the “American carnage” begun by Trump.

And Trump continues to show his respect of our court system. This is what he tweeted:

“The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!” Trump tweeted early Saturday. (from this morning’s Bloomberg article)

The funny part is that this is a W Bush appointee.

If it weren’t for real people being harmed, I’d have to laugh at these grade school bullying tactics. For the time being, thank goodness we have a fairly solid system of justice in place. For the moment.

The judge has not respected the division of power among the three branches of government, Trump, Bannon and Kushner.

And right there we have our meme for the rest of Trump’s administration.

For every hashtag, placard, and editorial page in America.

A man who, two weeks after taking an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, trashes it:

“So-Called President”.

This should be part of every response to Trump on this issue—get him to openly castigate George W. Bush, who little more than a decade ago was being openly worshipped by Republicans and Sean Hannity for his flight suit crotch bulge. Point out to every GWB judicial appointee that Trump regards him/her as a “so-called judge.” Sow discord among Republicans. Fracture the GOP. Set them on each other like snarling dogs.

Excellent! We’ve all been searching for something more befitting than PeePee. SCP Trump sounds right. So-Called President Trump.

Josh’s post mentions that Spicer released a statement referring to the “outrageous order,” later corrected. Heh heh, the so-called president really knows how to make friends and influence people, huh?

Even funnier? The judge used the Republican-sought rulings against President Obama’s use of EOs as precedent.

LOL. Influence people, for sure. Make friends … poor So-Called President.

I wonder how much camaraderie is present in the federal judcial system? I.E., an attack on one Federal judge is an attack on all?

“I can call my brother an incompetent asshole, but watch what you say about him…”

I suspect that even partisan hacks like Justice Alito would be turned off by this tactic, and likely would find a way to jab the point across.

Funny thing about our three co-equal branches. Each thinks that, while co-equal, their own particular branch is supreme.

Trump’s tweet shows, not only a lack of respect, but a lack of constraint. Anyone who thinks that the creature, Trump, would show constraint in the use of nuclear weapons is deluding themselves. He would approve the use of tactical nukes against Iran in a heartbeat if the military asks him for permission. We are all on the Flying Scotsman Express to Clusterfuckburgh.
