Once again, a federal judge strikes down a discriminatory law because it violates the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.

And she didn’t stay the ruling pending appeal.

Scott Walker is calling the Koch Brothers as I type to find out what they want him to do—besides clench his fists and stamp his feet and hold his breath until he turns blue.

Hallelujah!!!

YES!

(Body is invalid; try to be a little more descriptive)

A very well written decision as well that really lays out the issue(s) at hand.

Is he also calling the Mormon Church to help?

What strikes me about the unreal speed with which these decisions proceed is how it flies completely in the face of “modern” conservatism, which relies on rank exclusion. The rate at which this notion is being officially told N-O is at once astonishing and clarifying. They have yet to win the argument where it matters.

The exclusion lies at the heart of the problem. It is not in any way an American idea, ideal, practice, or purpose. Frankly, in this day and age, it’s just plain ridiculous. After the litany of snotty things said of not just gay people seeking marriage, well, we’re all still here. No one has, in fact, been practically “excluded.” It’s the inability to deal with this reality that makes modern conservatives unable and unwilling to govern.

And boy howdy doesn’t the country know it.

There cannot be any going back. This is it. Once we start to include it’s over. And for people who have waited for it likely never dreamed it would get here. There was absolutely no way there was going to be any “coming out” in my high school of anyone, period, forget it. Now, marriage equality is spreading. Only someone with a time machine could have convinced me back then it would one day come (pick any spelling or reference).

To my conservative friends I can only say this: mazel-tov.

It’s another sad day for hate. Hate can’t seem to catch a break these days. Who will look out for the haters? Who?
