I may possibly be one of the straightest people in the world, and this still gives me warm fuzzies. Best wishes for all of us!

Thank you. In the back of my mind I’ve been waiting for Wyoming. It’s been a long time coming.

I like those occasions when I can use that quote

Another brick in the wall of inequality has been smashed to bits.
Congratulations to the citizens of Wyoming!

It will be interesting to see how the remaining courts rule. The Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Circuits are all heavily loaded with Republican-appointed judges (the other one that hasn’t ruled yet, the Eleventh, which covers Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, is actually heavily Democratic appointees, so Alabama may get gay marriage soon  ). But then so was the Fourth, and they ruled in favor of equality.

Wyoming? Sorry dear Liz Cheney, your sister can get married in your state.

The idea that a judge, a federal judge has to ‘allow’ a marriage is the underlying problem. Our government isn’t supposed to rule over us or dictate our wants and wishes, and they damn sure don’t have any business telling anyone whom they can or can’t love and share their life with.
Seatbelt laws save lives and that makes sense, defining marriage in the conflicted interests of one particular group only hurts the intended targets and does no public good.
The prudes that only can or will see things their own way don’t get special treatment. If they don’t like same sex marriage or abortions, then they can simply not have either one.

Gay people exist, are very real, they fall in love and want to marry their partners the same as anyone that has ever fallen in love and wanted the same. Denying this is the problem not the fact that it is real.

The judge has stayed his decision in order to allow the state to put forth the same arguments that have failed every time a state has previously attempted to get such a decision reversed.

The state will undoubtedly ask the court to "think of the children.’

They will lose.

You’re preaching to the choir here.
