Ok lawyers the only pardons I can recall are of those that were convicted of a crime or for “national healing”. But by dismissing the case does this erase the trial and the verdict? Will this also set the scene for when charges are brought but Trump pardons the defendant(s)?

I’m not a lawyer, but Law professors have said that Trump pardoning people like Flynn or Manafort would do more harm than good. That’s because accepting a pardon means that you’ve forfeited your 5th amendment right to prevent incriminating yourself. Since they can’t plead the 5th, they’ll be forced to tell the truth or else they would face perjury charges.

Will trump pardon this guy?

Somehow there needs to be an accounting of the Sheriff’s trial. So they had a trial, the judge determined he was guilty, Trump steps in and pardons him, but that should negate the fact that there was a trail and a verdict.

No, this is why people hate politicians who are hypocritical assholes, who try to dictate rules while flaunting them.

CNN. You can do better than that. But will you?

Asshat. Judiciary? LMAO.

Wonder how thick the envelope was that changed hands .

Laws are for suckers. And Democrats. But my Republican’t friends would say I’m being redundant…

The pardon is pretty clearly a valid pardon. That we have a President who passes out pardons to political allies as a payback is the problem. But honestly, Trump’s corruption runs so deep, this barely moves the needle.

I hope he gets Montezuma’s revenge.

Add this judicial malfeasance to the Ivanka and Don Jr. Trump SoHo non prosecution.

I am still waiting for the judicial system to take responsibility for criminal control - give a crook a pass and crooks will feel validated to violate again. Judges have to stand strong or they become complicit.o

“This is a matter of basic fairness,” said Arpaio attorney Jack Wilenchik.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new definition of the word “chutzpah.”
