“Neither the encouragement of the activities alleged, nor the activities themselves are per se prohibited,” the judge said. “It is Plaintiff’s burden to illustrate that these activities are likely to intimidate, threaten, or coerce voters. The evidence educed has failed to do so.”
Yep, the US has no history of that at all…
I’ll take this loss, because the modern day GOP’s win is a Pyrrhic one.
Shorter Judge: Why in the world would you build an ark before the flood came?
“Neither the encouragement of the activities alleged, nor the activities themselves are per se prohibited,” the judge said. “It is Plaintiff’s burden to illustrate that these activities are likely to intimidate, threaten, or coerce voters. The evidence educed has failed to do so.”

What Judge Tuchi knows about 45 years of ratfucking couldn’t fill a rat’s patootie.
I’m mixed about this. On the one hand, the judge appears to be being wilfully obtuse; on the other hand, democrats have a solid observer operation, and as soon as a single voter does report being coerced or intimidated that triggers not only civil action but criminal investigations by a justice department that is in no mood for bullsh*t.
