Agree with the sentiment, but let’s get real. Mueller needs to wait until November. The GOP has clearly shown they have no interest in crossing Trump no matter what.
Presumably, the FEC was only concerned with possible violations of election laws. The FBI could still be looking at any NRA-Russian connections for other reasons. The agency wouldn’t publicize the existence of such an investigation.
The FEC has been rendered toothless and irrelevant by court decisions and legislation. It is now possible to spend unlimited amounts of money, without disclosure of any donors, and without exclusion of non-US donors, to support a candidate.
November? I won’t last that long…
How about just one minor Federal indictment just to push Donnie over the edge? Maybe a couple of State indictments?

If we have to make justice convenient, then we are doing it wrong.
Its largely always been toothless, based simply upon the partisan make up of the committee. Equal number of Dems and republicans, neither have any interest in going after the other, as long as both sides can do it; yet both sides being voraciously focused on shutting down any 3rd party violations.
The bigger question: Can our country last that long?
This Trumptopian mob autocracy needs to be brought down much sooner than later leat we no longer “have a country.”
