Just wait until the ISPs start throttling sites like TPM, DK, C&L, ThinkProgress, BuzzFeed, and other alternative voices. Things will be fun then.
But hey, the American Green Party is totally OK with thisâright, Comrade Stein?
Congratulations FCC. Youâve just lit a fire under the asses of young voters. A free flowing internet is all theyâve experienced. They donât own tvs and demand information quickly and uniformly. This will motivate the hell out of them to vote. As an old fogie it pisses me off bigly but I always vote.
What I see is an administration which is at war with the citizens of this country. They care not for public opinion. They are beholden to corporate donors. Weâve been here before. It didnât go well for the robber barons once upon a time and Iâm not sure it will go well for them this time.
Need more guillotines this time around.
âPlease ask me about my Reeseâs mug, please, please, PLEEEEEEEEEASE!!!â What a dweeb
If you like cable TV, you will love your new post-neutrality Internet.
This is bullshit! If you havenât already done so, check out whether or not your name was used in a fraud perpetrated by this administration to take away net neutrality. I used the link from DailyKos to check out if my name was used and sure enough, a bogus comment was submitted (not by me) in my name with my address listed as well. In fact, two different submissions were given to the FCC in my name using an identical comment a month apart. The comment used in my name refers to âObamaâs power grabâ and âfree market approachâ to explain why I am for getting rid of net neutrality. Oddly, it calls that a more real form of net neutralityâŚsomething I would never write in a million years.
Hereâs the link so yâall can check for yourself to see if your own name was used in a bogus way. It is from NY AG Eric Sneidermanâs office. You can submit the results if you were used in this form of identity fraud. The NY AG can also do a thorough accounting of how far reaching this public comment period was botched and contaminated from the beginning in order to make the case that the decision was based on faulty reasoning.
We need to repeal the Russia backed Republicans.
The picture looks photoshopped. I wouldâve loved that mug in, like, 3rd grade.
A free flowing internet is all theyâve experienced.
This is what makes this such a risky proposition for the Republicansâold people like me can still easily remember pre-Internet days, and weâre pissed off as it is. Taking away free flowing internet from Millenials and GenXers is just going to turn them into pissed off newly-committed voters, and theyâre not going to vote GOP.
Every business (other than ISPs) is going to hate this. They already hate negotiating with the AT&Ts of the world, now their internet access is going to be subject to tiered service offerings which add to the cost of retaining and providing wireless area network + internet service to their employees and staff for no real value. This is just unproductive economic rent to the Verizons of the world. There is also the potential censorship issue.
For the 25% of Bernie primary voters who made a choice other than to vote for HRC (Trump, 3rd party, write-in, stay at home) on the assumption that Trump was a risk that they could afford (assuming that POC would be on the front line to take the brunt of it) weâre seeing that Trumpism hurts these votersâ stated priorities as much or even more than those of mainline Dems. Look down the line at the EPA, protected lands, net neutrality, health care costs, CFPB/banks, money in politics & corruption, the judiciary, college affordability and youâre seeing that the GOP is effective at targeting any set of priorities valued by the broad Democratic coalition. You canât take elections off. You canât argue that a candidate doesnât inspire because he or she is âboringâ or âuninspiringâ to you (something we heard a lot for Berners in the final week of both the AL-Sen and VA-Gov campaigns) and you canât buy into GOP, MSM, Russian active measure spin. There are real differences between the two parties, vast indeed.
Al Gore may not have invented the intertubes, but Donald Trump absolutely did kill them.

Yeah, Pai just paid for his âno lines / no waitingâ membership. Hope he enjoys that!
Look on my works, ye mighty and despair.
Just wait until the ISPs start throttling Porn
Then thereâll be hell to pay.
What will Republicans do?
Can I now pay my ISP for a completely autoplay video-free and banner-banished internet experience?
Didnât think so.
Just $15 a month for youtube and $25 a month for your porn.
Got it.
weâre seeing that Trumpism hurts these votersâ stated priorities
No American political party has done more damage to the values and policies favored by the Green Party than the Green Party. Theyâve been the best weapon the GOP has had in the last two decades.
I suspect they wonât touch your porn.
FB? Sure. Pornhub? I donât think so.
There would be rage.
