It has been noted for years how ridiculous and insane it is that this information is not tracked. There is a willful ignorance behind this for all these years… if there are no numbers, it makes it hard to have a data based discussion on whether it is getting better or worse.
Also to add while doing this, a government needs nationwide list of police employees to capture when they’ve been fired from a location. Some mechanism to hold cities accountable when they hire some tool that’s been fired from 2 other police forces.
