The magabomber was able to do this with regular mail stamps instead of priority mail. It’ll be harder to find them. 13 ounce limit may have contributed to the bombs’ failure, though I kind of think they were intended to scare instead of explode.

As far as I know all the mail bombs have been found at east coast addresses. If they were mailed from the east coast (as seems likely) then there’s a good chance more bombs will show up moving westward on the usual US mail delivery schedule.

Surely someone here has better USPS knowledge than I. If a parcel was returned to the return address, doesn’t that mean it must have initially passed through the regional GMF for the return address? I mean, I didn’t think you could “mis-mail” something from Virginia to New York and have it be “returned” to Florida, for example.
