You have to keep in mind that these guys think “derogatory” is a compliment.
“Derogatory” is a very interesting word choice to me. Feels much more church-lady judgmental and much less “just the facts, sir”. Which doesn’t mean it isn’t chosen carefully or appropriately.

And the scary part is, that was actually true until just recently!
Where are these wonderful workplaces where lowly employees can run around as they please, doling out enormous bonuses to other staffers and getting access to high level documents? That’s a great place to be - pants optional? Things have changed since I was a low level drone.

This is the same line Pruitt used to excuse some of his publicized bad behavior: career staff did it. It looks like this administration might want to keep the professional public servants around as scapegoats for the appointees’ malfeasance. Sadly, for the right, this meme has the added bonus of exemplifying how the government can still cause all of our problems when it’s under Reactionary control.
That timeline clashes with the White House’s claims.
