this is the uphill struggle feminism faces. When would you ever see an Asian-Americans or African-Americans wearing a t-shirt saying “Let’s hand all power over to the Whites”?
Well, there’s that one guy who shows up at all the Trump rallies in Florida, but yeah, point taken.

Regardless of who leaked the photo or why, who was wearing the shirt? That seems to me to be the point.
It’s possible that this probationary deputy has left the group and repudiated all of its teachings. But not saying a word about that during the hiring process doesn’t bode well for that explanation. Especially as we know that RWNJ groups have a tendency to infiltrate law enforcement.

Hunh. Seems I remember that white right-leaning terror groups didn’t present nearly as much danger as environmental activists.
She also had the opportunity to disclose this info and her side of the story, but she chose unwisely.

These groups are always described as “White Nationalist -Linked.”
Strange how the FBI tiptoes around the question of who the genuine white nationalists are, to which violent groups like the Proud Boys are “linked.”
Maybe the FBI has never heard of Fox News?
Will there be a Republican/national press tantrum about this like there was about the 2009 Homeland Security report warning of the growing danger of right wing terror in this country? (the noise from the press and the Republicans was so loud Janet Napolitano retracted the report).
Will there be a Republican/national press tantrum about this like there was in 2016, when Hillary Clinton referred to neo-Nazis and Ku Kluxers as a “basket of deplorables”?
Will this one get driven into the memory hole, too, even as the beating victims and death threats pile up across the country? Will Gavin McInnes become a sought-after guest on the Sunday shows?
How many beatings and shootings do we need before we’re allowed to say out loud that right wing terror isn’t a “lone wolf” problem, but a culture and recruitment and dark money funding problem? (And a presidential leadership problem, as well.)
Wha . . .? The FBI did what? I guess the FBI discovered there are black and Latino members of the Piss Boys.

RWNJs may have a tendency, but white supremacists have a intent to do so where they can.
Willey told the sheriff’s office that she believes the photo was leaked by her former boyfriend, Proud Boy member Graham Jorgensen, in retaliation for ending their relationship, and that Jorgensen engaged in a history of physical and verbal abuse towards her.
Well don’t you fret Ms Willey, surely you can find another guy in the club who is willing to continue the physical and verbal abuse that you crave.

I seem to remember something in the Bible about this. Ah, yes, Matthew 7:5: “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye,and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”

This puts me in mind of the “Log Cabin Republicans” (gay republicans), black conservative groups (one such group was mentioned in a story - I forget which - on TPM this week), or black trump-supporter groups. However, note that I’m not claiming these groups are violent extremist groups, unlike the Shameful Boys (and Girls).
But the level of brainlessness it takes to join a Proud Boys group as a female is at the same level it takes for a gay person to join the Log Cabin Republicans, or for an African American to join a black conservative group or donnie-fluffer group. Which is to say, extremely freakin’ high.
Of course, how different any of the above is from a rural voter of any background with no health insurance voting for a republican is up for debate.
