The counter-attack narrative is now in full motion. Rethuglican last gasp is to wipe out or smear-neuter the referees in the democracy. Iâm so looking forward to living long enough to (hopefully) read about how Mueller is adjusting tactics or reacting to the threat this move may or may not represent.
The stupid thing about all of this is that itâs not ultimately going to stop the Mueller machine. All they can do it this point is to hope for distraction of their base from the on-coming Mueller Express. And itâs only the base who are fooled by this. Even the Goopers involved in this kabuki theater know perfectly well itâs a sham. But they also know that their slavering base has never heard of Potemkin and therefore will have no idea just how much they have been swindled and lied to by sleights of hands and outright lies.
54? Why not 100? 200? Fuck, why not divert the entire FBI to âexpedite completion of this project?â
The only partisan hacks are the GOP. You gave a criminal right under your nose, no subpoena needed. Do your jobs, cowards.
IOKIYAR. Otherwise there would be a drumbeat questions of how many terrorists were being allowed to continue their plots, how many murderers and drug dealers (yes, I know) were going free just to satisfy a political witch hunt.
Goodlatte has received about 104K from the NRA throughout his career.
Letâs have Congress set up a committee to investigate how much Russian and other non-US funds he and folks like Paul Ryan have received.
How many days until the mid-term election when this insanity stops? We need a big count down clock.
Russian photo-journalist Sergei Eisenstein supplies film of Hillary Clinton pushing a baby carriage down a flight of stairs in his documentary Battleship Potemkin.
âŚand if there is ANYBODY out there that doesnât think this is a total SOP to Donald J Trump to deflect from the shtstains on the WH I have swampland to sell them. Hey Goodlatte you giant suck? Hillary is NOT President and you and your cheating cohorts have made a mockery of democracy. FK YOU. I want my tax dollars back.
So Goodlatte is going to retire. His term limit as the chair of the judiciary committee is up. He has $900.000 left in his campaign funds. Hmmmm.
In 2016 when Kai Degner ran against him and got 33% of the votes it was admirable (under those circumstances and the money difference taken into consideration). Kaiâs campaign letters explained how powerful Goodlatteâs position in the House was and it was remarkable, and part of why it seemed that nothing got done in DC.
Goodlatte seems to be quite a piece of work.
Thanks!!!
The GRU really is acting like itâs hit the âuse 'em or lose 'emâ point with its assets in Congress.
Hillary Clinton has not held public office in over five years, stepping down from her position as Secretary of State in February of 2013.
And after countless hearings, multiple investigations by Congress and the Department of Justice and the FBI, none of which resulted in so much as an indictment, Republicans are not ready to give up.
They will never be ready to give up, as long as they need to divert their base from the raging incompetence and rampant corruption of the current occupant of the White House, his family members, Cabinet Secretaries, WH staff and enabling members of the House and Senate.
Well, there was nothing in the cache of documents of any import nor were any an embarrassment to the candidate or campaign. Distorted and fraudulent claims by Republicans and the corporate press to the contrary notwithstanding, this will be a big zero again. Except of course, to the delusional and mentally ill supporters of tRump.
We just need the GOP out of being in charge of the House (well, also the Senate: NO MORE JUDGES for Trump) because there are no House âchairmen of committeesâ â and are there any women in charge of committees, at least I never hear of them) because every single one of them is going around manufacturing stuff.
HRC was OUT at State FIVE f-ing years ago â maybe 6 (I canât remember if she notified she was quitting at the end of 2011 or early 2012 or it was after the 2012 election) and I think this is just nuts.
The GOP seems to think that âthisâ time the magic happens and they GET that b***h!
Who assesses the level of irresponsibility here?
After the Stoneman Douglas shooting, noises were made and âI guess we dropped the ball(s),â were uttered about failing to follow the leads to get advanced ID of the shooter, with the justification that there werenât enough staff to follow up every lead. What are they going to say next time, âIâm sorry, we were trying to deflect responsibility from the president?â
Addendum: At some point, this has to become like shouting. âFire!â in a crowded theater.
54? Iâm surprised itâs more than 3. But now that we know how many are investigating a faux scandal long investigated and debunked that was originally drummed up by the GOP and carried by the media, maybe we could get some info on how many agents are investigating:
- election interference
- Russian infrastructure hacking
- white and neo-nazi terrorism
- hate crimes
- Nunesâ mishandling of classified information
- the hundreds of obvious crimes taking place in the White House
- Trump (not included in above White House crimes)
- etc.
Keep fucking that chicken there Bob.
