The addition of Schumer means itâs a step up from a procedural meeting, but this doesnât look like âthe briefingâ weâre all looking for. So far the website has no closed or open hearings scheduled though it looks like they meet regularly on Tuesday and Thursday.

We have to hope for a crisis of conscience with Comey. I still believe Trump will be taken down. He isnât as useful to the GOP as he was before the election. Not to mention heâs taking a flamethrower to their partyâs future every day.
Only Trump could manage to NOT be happy he stole/won what he supposedly wanted all along. Heâs still re-living the election. What a damaged shitbird he is.

Comey has made a CAREER out of investigating the Clintons, going all the way back to 1993 and the bullshit âWhitewaterâ investigations. He was in on ALL of them and it never amounted to anything.
He was NEVER able to âget themâ on ANYTHING and it has eaten at him for DECADES.
He finally got his chance for revenge in late Oct 2016 and he took it.
Is he also compromised by the Russians? I doubt it, he just gave in to his decades of frustration when the NY FBI office dangled the Weiner Emails in front of him and the frustration and hatred of the Clintons coupled with the thought of having his career in the hands of someone he has been hounding for 25 years pushed him into a terrible decision.
Now he has to live with it and hang on for dear life as the Trump Train careens out of control.

Now remember, Mr. Comey, it is now your solemn duty to send a memo to the committee about everything you or the FBI finds that might even be remotely relevant to this matter. Even if youâve never seen it, have no idea what itâs about, or if it has anything to do with anything at all. You MUST send memos alerting everyone to your suspicions. Just in case.

Every institution in the United States is corrupt from top to bottom. The starkness of it is whatâs shocking to me. Even after predicting this for a long time, itâs still fucking weird. The FBI can never again be treated as anything other than a self aware, self interested organization with broad police powers and little or no oversight.
Again, assuming there is a Presidential election in 2020, and again assuming a clean election, and again assuming the Democrats donât fuck it up, how does a Democratic President take office without assuming the FBI to be anything other than a political enemy?

Thatâs what Iâve always believed about his astounding actions pre-election. He just has never come to grips with the fact that there really wasnât anything to the allegations he was chasing the Clintons about, and he grabbed at the last chance to do something to his nemesis. The idea that he could finally be considered the âwinnerâ of that years-long endeavor to take them down clouded any shred of judgment he might have had. So now he gets to go through the rest of his life (heâs relatively young) with the worst reputation imaginable. His mother should have told him to be careful what he wished for.
