And a few more trump voters who either just ‘wanted change’ or voted ‘for the lessor of two evils’ (ergo not the true believers) would be so disgusted by such a vile attack on a grieving voters that they too leave the trump and GOPers in disgust. It took several years of the Iraq war and the photos of Abu Graib for Bush to start losing support.
Self-styled “rugged individualists” who want a strong daddy to tell them what to do.
People in the military have to deal with facts, not alternative facts; reality and not on propaganda to soothe Dear Leader’s ego. They know better than anyone that life or death can hang in the balance.
Although the military tends to skew Republican, something tells me respecting Trump won’t be an easy fit for them.
Didn’t Trump crow about the uneducated masses who support him?
This administration owes the entire world an apology. You can just imagine him sitting in on that intelligence briefing and picturing himself announcing the results of the raid (“I have taken the first steps toward making America safe again…” with whistlestop-type tours to receive the adulation of the public.). That, and only that, was his motivation behind signing off.
Not only did T sign off on an ill-conceived, under-prepared attack, he and the rest of his enablers have tried to make a mockery of tragedies of other types in order to obscure the reality of the safety of the nation.
By fabricating “massacres” where none exist, they demean the loss of actual human beings in actual tragedies–whether those losses occurred in schools, holiday parties, federal buildings, churches, grocery store parking lots, or night clubs. When they start the inevitable pushback on this father who is asking that we honor the sacrifice his son made, we have to push back. There are no limits to their evil.
Demand an investigation.
“I told them I don’t want to meet the President,” William Owens said
While I’m saddened for his loss I’m grateful Mr. Owens spoke to the press, I don’t recall press coverage at the time Trump went to Dover.
Plus 29% on being firm and decisive. Looks like people are conflating fickle and wishy-washy.
There was coverage of that man and Lust Object leaving the White House. The family forbade photographers at the AFB.
No, I remember the family’s desire for no press being stated in reports. I do not recall their desire not to meet with Trump being reported.
Hear he will file suit against drumpf et al!
This poor grieving father will never get an investigation under a GOP-led Congress, whose only objective is to walk in lockstep with Trump on everything. They’re still too afraid to stand up to him. Kowtowing to the Orange Menace is what they’re famous for now.
I feel for this man and his family. These Goobers and Trump have acted irresponsibly and are unconscionable in not being willing to pursue what went wrong.
If we can’t get a Putin’s interference in our elections investigated…I seriously doubt this SEAL’s father will get an investigation that clearly has all the signs of eclipsing years of Benghazi inquiries.
Think today is the first time the family has publicly said anything.
“Why at this time did there have to be this stupid mission when it wasn’t even barely a week into his administration? Why?” Owens said. “All of a sudden we had to make this grand display?”
Any number of highly paid media military ‘experts’ could have made this point at the time but left it less militaristically stated by the Obama politicals.
Mr. Owens makes a great point without mentioning the dinner orders.
I just read that Trump didn’t visit the SitRoom as the mission unfolded and actually tweeted about show biz during the boots on the ground time.
Hey, how come they shut down the other thread on Trump’s trolling the DNC? Lemme guess, his flying monkeys came here and began trolling on his behalf. Pity. I I was just getting ready for a verbal ass-kicking.
I bet other military families are more nervous about future engagements after this fiasco. Poor and hurried
planning and the desire to score political points for Trumpski is not what they signed up for.
Beej showed up with 3 newly-knitted socks. Troll shit all over the place.
Ahhh…Time for some mops and buckets to clean up the dreck…
I believe there’s evidence that Trump was busy tweeting when this particular operation was going on. I saw a few days ago that there’s a tic-toc on the matter that’s been reported. Trump wasn’t even following the operation in the Situation Room. Probably the next thing on his list to be eliminated in the people’s house. I hear he wants to make room for a miniature putt-putt there instead, and needs the added space.

Trump is viewed as dishonest, too ignorant, and intemperate. But also effective at getting things done. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
[/quote]So, Trump is destroying the country because of his dishonesty, lack of knowledge and experience, and adolescent temperament - but he’s destroying it in a firm, decisive, direct, and effective way.
This father needs the utmost respect. To be left alone and respected by the fascist in the white house. To tweet about this is so far beyond decency.
